I read about a bug that causes the game to crash during a certain quest related to building your settlement(s), so I was just curious.

If there's one, I haven't experienced it yet. I've actually been heavily focused on Settlements on my PS4 file. I'm up to 12 Settlements right now, I can't seem to separate myself from collecting/liberating Settlements and connecting them to my supply network  It seems like every time I come back from integrating a new community, Preston gives me another quest to seek out another. I may have to eventually say "Sorry, those Raiders may just have to attack, I've got other things to do." I thought I was getting pretty close to the maximum number of settlements, but it looks like there's actually a total of 29 possible locations you can control. Madness! The only one I will never have on that character is Covenant. It was involved in a special quest and it required a moral dilemma that I won't spoil.

[EDIT] I did some searching and see the error you're talking about. I haven't gotten to Valentine yet, which is probably why I haven't seen the error. Then again, I haven't been to Monsignor either. I expect a patch will be released pretty quickly if a lot of people are affected.

So am I the only one that likes the campaign mode on COD and not much else?

Probably more so due to the fact that I don't really understand any of the other parts of it or how to play them. I just played madden 15 for the first time this weekend with the kiddos.

Lion, you playing Battlefront tonight? Anyone else on Xbox?

Yeah I'm gonna pick it up after work and play a few rounds to get my feet under me.

I then plan on going HAM tonight after the CFP Rankings show.

It overall isn't good but I'm holding out hope I can figure out the zombie map because that map is beautiful but very difficult.

Yet you still haven't added me. It's kewl... I get it...

The reviews have been pretty meh overall so you need to stop raising the expectations I already lowered mmk?
It's not meh. It's epic and awesome. The only "meh" reviews have been A) butthurt fanboys who hate everything EA does on principle, B) poor people who object to the season pass on principle, even though the base game has roughly the same map content as a standard multiplayer, and C) people who object to the lack of a single-player campaign because reasons.

I actually saw a negative review that said the game is bad because it has too many modes, even though the "good modes" are excellent.

So I have to get Playstation Plus to play online right?

I concur. Here is my short but sweet review:

Pros:
1. Absolutely beautiful game.
2. Tons of game modes. Heros mode is a blast. The missions and survival add to the gameplay if multi is not 'yer thang'. Survival is really really fun.
3. Controls are obviously like Battlefield, which I think are top notch. Vehicle and air vehicle controlling feel great, and are very fun with a short learning curve.
4. Lots of unlockables.
5. No game breaks that I've encountered, unlike BF4 which was broke for 6 months after launch.
6. Seemless friend, party, game functionality on a widget. Makes adding friends, joining games and parties a snap.
7. SPEEDER BIKES!!!!
8. Very impressed with sound effects and the score. Excellent to bring about the Star Wars feel.

Cons:
1. Some weapons may be OP (More than likely will get balanced as online play continues).
2. Game can be very difficult, MP, survival, different missions.
3. Being the hero on hero modes is hard.
4. Star Wars theme, so if not into that it's going to be a tough sell.
5. EA, so some people will hate on principle.

I'm now playing the Battlefront Base Command app, which earns you in-game currency for upgrades.

So I played a decent number of games last night. Cannot figure out how to check my friends to see what they're doing while I'm in game. Figure out how to invite me and get me in on some of your games if you ever see that I'm on, Wiz.

I was trying to figure out the same thing. There's a little friend icon in the top corner but as far as I can tell it only shows if the friend is in that specific game, not if they're online playing Battlefront in general.

I'll check my dashboard before I open the game, and if I ever see that you're on, I'll try to figure it out.

As for the game itself, I've only played Blast but it's pretty good. I wish there was a bit more diversity in the weapons, maybe a few custom options for better sites/stability/cooldown, and it threw me off that there isn't an option to switch from primary weapon to sidearm without using a Star Card, but oh well.

I'm going to try a few other modes tonight and see how those are. I got to rank 6 or 7 last night and unlocked the machine-gun blaster, and figured out how to use it pretty well. I had a 18:6 ratio in my last game of the night, so I decided to quit with a decent K:D bump.

I was surprised that there isn't a large-scale Blast map that offers vehicles, but maybe there's a different game mode that is essentially "Deathmatch with Vehicles" and I'm just missing it.

This is a pretty good attempt at a Star Wars shooter, considering it's the first one on new gen. I anticipate that Battlefront II will be a significant upgrade with some customization options that are actually useful, rather than focusing on appearance only.

Yes. If you do, add me. the_dozinski

I will do that tonight sir.

After I picked up my ps4 last night I started downloading Battlefront and because that was going to take a few hours I started playing Fallout 4.

Tremendous game so far. It looks spectacular (the first view of the Wasteland after you go up the elevator was just amazing.

I've been hoarding like crazy. Need to slow down on that and actually progress in the game a bit so I can sell/craft more easily. FYI I went with a high perception/sniper build.

As for Battlefront, I played a bit before heading to work this morning. I basically only played two tutorials. Love the feel/sound/visuals of the game. I am definitely concerned I won't want to play after a couple of weeks with my predisposition against multiplayer but we'll see. Unfortunately the game was included as a download in my bundle so I will be unable to resell.

If you guys are on the One you can double tap the Xbox button and it will snap a menu where you can see your friends list, party, messages, and access other apps.

18:6!? Wow I suck. I might ask for some pointers. I feel like I'm so slow.

Oh trust me, there were some 6:12, 8:12 types of games in there before I started to even up and then surpass my initial ratios. I got really comfortable with the Endor and Imperial Hangar maps while using the machine blaster, so that helped. I think the group I was playing with at the end wasn't very good either.

I can't figure out how to properly throw the proximity bombs when I pick them up, which frustrates me (LB+RB works to drop it, but it doesn't works as a throw). Also, the stationary/automatic turret pickups don't seem to be very effective, but maybe I just kept dropping them in bad spots.

How are guys hitting me from such crazy long range? As far as I can tell, none of the guns work very well for sniping.

You don't throw the proximity bomb. It's really more of a mine than a bomb.

Battlefield could not have come out at a worse time. I'm going to be addicted to Fallout for at least another month.

When you go into the "Unlockables" page and check the weapons, two of the first 5 note that they are more effective at long range or deal more damage at a distance. The first gun on the list is one of those that deals more damage at long range, and the machine blaster that I like has a scope and notes something about range as well. Also, there are guys using sniper rifles that are unlocked at later levels.

Well that makes sense, but I feel like it detonates as soon as I drop it every time, which is why I thought it was a throw-able weapon lol.

Been playing quite a bit of my PC Sharpshooter character on Fallout 4, and saving my PS4 Hulk character for guy's night. One thing I've noticed is that the weapon crafting for guns is so much more rewarding and fulfilling as oppose to melee. With melee they only seem to give you the option of adjusting one feature, like adding a serrated blade to a Machete. With guns you can alter the receiver, the barrel, the stock, the muzzle, the sight, and maybe a few other things on some models. Currently I use a fully modded out Pipe Rifle as a Sniper, and even on Survival I'm able to one shot a lot of Raiders from a distance with a head shot. On Legendary Mirelurks...it's not quite as effective. What is effective is a Double Barrel Shotgun I pulled off a Legendary Raider that does 25% Bleed Damage. That thing does over 100 damage and kills most things in one shot anywhere, and on Legendaries usually just a few shots. I find the Bleed damage to be far superior to Poison. The best thing about using crappy Pipe weapons against Raiders is you know you're getting more .38 ammo back, and you usually end up with more than you used when everything is dead. I'll probably upgrade to a Hunting Rifle once I've amassed more .308 rounds. I did have to burn two Mini Nukes against the boss in the Castle, that poison on Survival difficulty turned out to be a one shot kill if it connected.

I still have yet to go to Diamond City on either of my characters, I'm almost afraid to because I know there will be a lot of NPCs there and I'll get caught up in the plot once I really start it. I've been keeping myself busy clearing out Settlements and connecting them to my Minuteman network. I don't do much building outside of Sanctuary though, most of my Settlements average about 6 people and I have a cookie-cutter setup for each when it comes to defenses, food production, beds, etc.
