Dang man. Sorry to hear your kid hates you… 😉My son got me Eldenring yesterday for my birthday.
Between this and Skyrim, I'm going to be busy for awhile![]()

Honestly, a remastered would be glorious on today's consoles. Unfortunately I don't see Konami and Kojima working that out...MGS was good back then but I tried replaying it about five years ago and talk about not aging well,… graphics, mechanics, terrible cut scenes, it was hard to get past it and I gave up
Oddly enough I'm mostly a Robin Hood type. Everyone loves me but the guards, and the guards have never really caught me doing anything...however I did help out the refugees with their quests, which apparently lowers your rep with the Rattay guards. I know there's some quests to raise rep with them, but I've been holding off to make sure there's nothing else I need to do that might lower guard rep.A dirty Stormcloak would,… I have a bad rep in the monetary but don’t really know why. However I will amend. I’m a Slavic hero everywhere else,… as only a good imperial can be.
I'm still playing Kingdom Come, but I've realized I'm entirely spending too much time actively doing nothing. I've been roaming the countryside looking for Bandits and Cumans to slay and loot. I'm running into guards that decide to stop me indiscriminately and pick fights because of my low reputation...and then I revenge murder them in an alley. I'm taking part in the tourney each chance I get. Murdering more guards because they have the audacity to stop me and search me for stolen goods. That sort of thing.
I did finish the sidequest with the old whore that wants revenge on her husband that threw her out, took her dowry, and pretended she didn't exist anymore. I guess I'm supposed to feel bad that I gave her a dagger that allowed her to kill the guy and his new wife...and she didn't bother to reward me really...but that whole story was a bit satisfying so 10/10, would endorse slaying bastard husbands again.
And betray Theresa? What kind of monster do you think I am?!Gah Evil Henry, you will love the mission later on where you rescue a poor woman from a prostitution situation and then in one last moment before she gains her freedom you can demand her to open her legs one final time as payment.

Well, there are the bath maids that occasionally give me the rub and tug while my clothes are being laundered...
And then there's Lady Stephanie...but that was one time!
And....well....shit.
She...uhh...has a few times already...and apparently there's a mole in the bath house hierarchy that has been feeding her information! So far I've been able to talk my way out of the consequences, but the pressure is mounting.Lol Theresa will call you out on the old bath maid usage eventually haha

Wo Long demo is out. If you liked Ninh or Sekiro I would suggest it
Sounds like date #3 for Brick...Gah Evil Henry, you will love the mission later on where you rescue a poor woman from a prostitution situation and then in one last moment before she gains her freedom you can demand her to open her legs one final time as payment.
I loved the nioh games. They’re difficult and the Wo Long demo was great. It’s basically a hybrid of Nioh and Sekiro .Literally looks like Chinese Nioh. I'll try it out since it's on gamepass, but I wasn't a huge Nioh 1 fan. Didn't play the second one, but just found the gameplay boring after a while. And so much trash loot that I spent too much time in menus
Hogwarts: Legacy is still fun as hell. I’m about 17 hours in, and feel like I’m just scratching the surface. Still don’t have all of the spells, and haven’t even been briefed on many of the side quests I know are out there (“saving” creatures from poachers… which seems an awful lot like poaching; the weird statue things I can’t collect yet).
Combat is fun, even with limited spell options early on.
Levioso —> Expelliarmus (with curse effect) —> Accio —> Confringo
Mix in some basic damage casting with timely Protego defense and counters, and a well-placed swift dodge if you’re surrounded, and then you’re really cooking.
Story isn’t too bad thus far, either, though I’m a bit over-leveled based on doing as many side quests as I can early on.
After seeing the backlash the last few weeks on social media over the "Wizard game" and JK Rowling:

I've never seen such misplaced anger over something as silly as a video game. Some people just want to watch the world burn.
Which one??Twitter isn't real life.
I'm trying Bloodstained at Acamp's consistent recommendation. No major opinions yet except that the voice acting is terrible (in a good way).
Nah,… he’s a dick like that. Now maybe he'll get off his high horse and play something good like Hollow Knight.

(I tried it a year or so ago,… really disliked it. Lol)
I second Bloodstained. I thought I did a review of it, but I can't see it. Very nice SotN clone by the creator himself. Story is kinda "eh," but when you play these games it's all about the platforming gameplay and this one has it in spades. Great variety of weapons too.Twitter isn't real life.

It shouldn't be, but people on Twitter and Twitch have been getting bullied and harassed over it. One popular streamer had already faced bullying in her home country of Japan, going through a lot of stress there. Then she decided to stream Hogwarts for a western audience and...well, you can guess how that went. She's done streaming.Twitter isn't real life.

It's not just online harassment though. Streamers get Dox'd and SWAT'd, their lives are threatened these days. It's sad that it comes to that, but it's not just keyboard warriors hurting feelings anymore. Scumbags will reach out to your place of work to get people fired, intimidate family or spread lies to cause rifts, and as mentioned Swatting which has resulted in accidental death.I guess my point is that people really need to stop associating "Twitter/twitch harassment" with real harassment. The top 1% of assholes on every side of the political spectrum are the most vocal. If you care so much about 2% of your audience calling you a transphobe in your chat that you actually stop streaming, it's sort of on you for giving a small group of anonymous strangers that much power over you.
Tl;dr It's 2023. It's time to say "who cares" when someone claims that they're being harassed on Twitter. People on Twitter aren't real people.

Yeah the very online wing of the trans stuff is pretty powerless against the HP game. Its putting up great numbers. I'll probably buy it at some point. I'll revert to being a 10 year old again.Ok but show me that happening over this. No one's getting fired because they played a Harry Potter game that's topping sales figures lol. The only stuff I've seen is people getting upset because they are being told they aren't an "ally".
I've not heard of anyone getting SWATed over this. Usually SWAT pranks get saved for super important occurences like... any streamer's audience finding out where that streamer lives.
Edit: Actually please don't show me that happening. It's the internet, and the number of people on the internet is mind boggling, so statistically someone somewhere probably did get harassed seriously, and chances are that this person got a story written about them because the internet loves to show us the statistically unlikely .
The initial internet outrage to any given dumb controversy is almost entirely made up of bots, trolls, and the top 1% most politically motivated groups (crazy people). It looks like there are a lot of these people if you read online discourse, because 1% of 100,000 comments are 1,000 comments. Those 1,000 comments are going to be at the top of any given thread because of outrage algorithms pushing them to the top. Unless you are scrolling forever, you will only ever see the worst takes.
The only way to move forward as a society is to stop caring about these fake controversies. We've got to stop giving those 1%ers so much power over our political discourse and our personal view of other people. The "outrage" over the Harry Potter game is a great example. Those aren't real or normal people. The Harry Potter game has sold 12 million copies in the last month. Those are numbers on par with Elden Ring.
As someone who consumes a lot of Twitch (pathetic I know), the only communities with infighting were the hyper online VTubers who are....something else lol.Yeah the very online wing of the trans stuff is pretty powerless against the HP game. I haven't done much searching so I don't know if anyone playing the "Wizard Game" have been SWAT'd, but I just saw that a trans streamer was SWAT'd and arrested back in August over her dislike of JK Rowling. So in this case it's the other side of the debate. Apparently this isn't the first time this person has been SWAT'd and they're actively trying to move away to prevent it from happening again.Ok but show me that happening over this. No one's getting fired because they played a Harry Potter game that's topping sales figures lol. The only stuff I've seen is people getting upset because they are being told they aren't an "ally".
