If you feel the need to mellow out, have the time, and can just let the music play and sway ...

OK, ACamp, just to illustrate that I'm not just an old fart stick in the '50's, I gave my tech savvy son (and his soon to be bride) each an Echo Dot and two Echo-enabled outlet add-on thingies for Christmas presents.
When I come to visit I can now turn on a lamp in their basement rec room – with my preferred sleeping couch – without walking across a dark room, crawling on said couch, and fumbling around to find the switch on the stand lamp in the corner.
Me: "Alexa, turn on the fucking light!"
Alexa: "OK, the light is on."
lol... just having fun D... JC/TM video you shared... I curse at my Echo when it messes up... she never responds, so she's basically like all other females in my house.

Everybody digs Bill EvansNice. For relaxing jazz, I head towards Stan Getz, George Shearing, or Bill Evans. I think Monk is at his best when he taps into his energetic side.

Was chilling to a playlist two nights ago that included Criss-Cross (TM), Getz au Go Go, Conversations with Myself (BE), Giant Steps (JC) and sprinkles of Sadoval, Klugh, and Miles. A buddy of mine gave me Ken Burns Jazz - The Story of America's Music... Was going to tee that up tomorrow.
Right now tapping my foot to Bessie Smith's Backwater Blues and Jelly Roll Morton's Dead Man Blues. Wish I still smoked weed as a big blunt goes great with this stuff.
