Members with less than 25 posts cannot post links (without mod approval) or rep posts. Your (ineffective) gray rep indicates that someone with less than 25 posts tried to rep you. If and when they reach the required post count, it will turn green and actually increase your total Reputation Points.

Speaking about reps. I received a neg rep over the weeked intended for another user. I was quoting the negative comment, and instead of giving a negative rep myself, asking the user to explain themselves. The offended party saw the quote, thought it was the original post. (No accounting for inteligence, lol) and hit me. So I got caught in the crossfire. Is there an effective way of deliting this negative rep? I bet there is! Could you, oh would you help?

I have to be less stingy 66213 vs 689. But I have only been a user for a couple of months.

Sometimes people mistakenly get negative reps, by the repper clicking the wrong button, a slip of the hand; or by someone neg repping the quote in a post. Which in case the negative repper should sober up first and trace back the originator of the post before ripping a red rep. lol! I need to get rep proof.

Not sure it's even possible to edit a user's reputation, Bogs. If it is, I certainly don't know how to do it.
