Just seemed to bounce around too much for me. The other part was here they are pretty much on wasteland and miles away with no water, yet they seemed to arrive at different variables no worse for the wear. They never really dealt much with those difficulties. I did enjoy the conversation when Lucy asked Maximus if he wanted to have sex. lol

I think they’ve seen shows like the walking dead just drag one location and say one faction encounter through a whole season. They wanted a fast pace but maybe yeah it was too fast.

Finished an Amazon Prime three episode show titled Berlin 1945. Begins with Russia forcing the Germans to surrender Berlin and goes through the Allies dividing up the city. Several things of note. The Russian soldiers were raping damn near every woman they came across. Gonorrhea was at an almost epidemic level and there wasn't enough medicine to get it under control until the other Allied forces arrived with supplies. Most of the citizens of Berlin were resentful that they had to live under martial law as they felt Germany had done nothing wrong. Of course they gladly took the food and services the Allies provided.

Season 4 and 5 of Sopranos was outstanding. I just started szn 6 last night, I was very sad to be starting the final season but was excited to discover it was a whopping 21 episodes, so at least it's a mega-season. What a great show. Going to have some serious show withdrawals at the end of this one.

Im loving the current Shogun series. I haven't watched the last episode yet so please no spoilers. I vaguely remember the original series from the 80s but Im going to have to go back and watch that after this I think.

I saw the '80s version, but don't remember much about it. Haven't seen the new one. The book is really good!

Just finished the season last week. Overall I thought the show was well done. I watch most shows with subtitles these days so it doesn’t bother me all the reading that some complain about.

I’ll save my thoughts on the finale as not to spoil anything.

I'm about halfway through the 7-part Netflix series Baby Reindeer. What a crazy, fascinating story. An aspiring British comedian, working as a bartender, meets an interesting, funny older woman who becomes obsessed with him and turns out to be a nutjob stalker who spent four years in prison for stalking her former boss. Funny, scary, and crazy story based on the creator and star's real life.

I’ll look it up but I got rid of Netflix. Who is in it?

Probably nobody you'd recognize... or at least I've never heard of any of them. The actor/creator is named Richard Gadd. The lead actress, the nutjob stalker, is Jessica Gunning. She's very good. It's just a really good story that keeps getting weirder and crazier. She's nuttier than a constipated squirrel and turns his world upside down. Highly recommend and well worth the watch.

Finished Shogun. WOW. I am a huge fan of the samurai culture and feudal Japan history. The acting was great. Can’t wait for season 2

I finished Shogun but was not overly impressed. I also remember the original Shogun mini-series and feel like I should watch it. Pretty sure I won't though.

Re-watched The Judge the other night. F me, Robert Duval is a great actor.

In my opinion the OG Shogun doesn’t age terribly well but the drama is still there and delightful.

They have said this was a stand alone season. They may consider doing another book but I didn't think it will be a direct follow up of season 1

Started watching "Declassified" on Prime. Series on spying incidents from the Gov's files. S1E1 was about our first female spy we put in Russia. E2 & E3 were about ME intelligence and not as good. The episode with the Chinese spy and his family was pretty good.

Iron Claw was a good one. Remember the Von Erich's from when I was a little kid but had no idea about their story.

I'm 15 or 20 years late to the party, but I finally started watching The Wire this week. I'm only a few episodes into the first season, but really liking it so far. Great cast and a ton of familiar faces who went on to other stuff afterwards.

During college I started to watch the Wire. Really didn't understand the hype, it seemed like it was ok but kind of just a generic procedural to me................I realized after about 4 episodes that I was actually watching the Shield lololol.

GREAT Show. You're going to love it. I watched it for the first time this year as well.

I laughed every time McNulty said "What the fuck did I do?" Lol

Just about wrapped up with Sopranos. Maybe 5 episodes to go. I feel for Chris, man.

Every time he tries to do right by himself and clean up, gets clear of drugs and alcohol, the guys ridicule him for being "distant" since he's trying to avoid the temptations. Then when they're around him, they poke fun at him for being clean and not enjoying a libation. Tell him to "be normal" about these substances. I know firsthand that it's a struggle for some people. As someone who enjoys an adult beverage here and again, I certainly would never go out of my way to expose my own habits to someone I know who struggles with addiction.

I sympathize for him. On one hand, they judge him for what a wreck he is when he's using, then on the other they ridicule him for avoiding the temptation and indirectly distancing himself from their bad habits. He just can't win.
