Getting caught up on Rook. It was a little slow to develop, but got much better as things start to unfold.

Caught up on Jett as well over the weekend. Good lord Carla Gugino is pure smoke for almost 50.

Up to 49 days and down to 5 on "Alone". Lost a girl last night due to constipation. Said she hadn't pooped in two weeks. Was having chills, fever and pain. Finally became unbearable. Guess she wasn't drinking enough water and had the huge lake just outside her campsite.

They did med checks last night. One guy convinced himself he had won as they usually tell the winner they are coming for a med check then surprise them. He almost caved once he found out it was a med check and he hadn't won.

The dude that killed the moose has lost 30lbs even though he's eating moose everyday. Apparently moose is extremely lean with virtually no fat content. He had a large can of fat, but a wolverine had gotten it.

Alone..........It's halloween and the temperatures are in the teens and low 20's during the day. Snow covers the ground and part of the lake has frozen over. Food is becoming scarce.

SPOILER ALERT

We are down to four. Took a lady off last night because her BMI was at a dangerous level. The dude who killed the moose and lost his fat reserve to a wolverine cut into the moose head, took out the tongue and whatever else contained some fat. He cooked it and saved the fat. He put it with his moose meat on his pedestal about 10ft in the air. Wakes up to find another wolverine had found it and ate it. Not sure why he didn't keep it in his shelter.

Watched a few premiers last night and Sunday.

Our Boys on HBO - Israeli series about 3 Israeli kids being killed by Muslims, and then potential revenge killing. Very solid. I loved Fauda on Netflix too.

The Terror on AMC - Very solid start. It's about a sinister spirit in a Japanese community/internment camp in 1940s California.

Succession S2 on HBO - The pace, drama, and dialog writing of Billions, and funny AF at times.

My favorite show so far this year is Yellowstone, and it's not even close. I also like the show afterwards (The Last Cowboy) with a reality show by Sheridan about Reigning.

Anyone watch his Netflix special? Not exactly wall-to-wall laughs, it gets pretty dark at times. Lots of introspection and extrospection. But it's poignant commentary on the shitty state of society and he clowns on #woke people pretty hard. I would highly recommend watching it if you haven't.

Haven't watched last night's episode yet, but last week's episode was lit. You've got me excited now. Was going to wait till tomorrow night to watch with a couple beers, but may have to watch tonight.

Alone is down to three and the weather is out right crappy with daytime temps in single digits. Their campfires aren't able to keep the temps in their shelter above freezing.

SPOILER ALERT

One contestant was pulled after a med check. Lost 80lbs in 62 days. Docs felt he was starting to enter the danger zone because his body was now consuming muscle. Great point from the doc when he told the guy, the heart is a muscle and he was at risk for a heart attack.

Our moose hunter made a gill net out of paracord. Took him a couple of days. Remember, he's doing it in single digit weather and has to take his gloves off to tie the knots. He had to cut a hole in the ice which they estimated to be about nine inches thick to get his net in. He ended up catching a trout. The fat from the fish should keep him from getting pulled as he still has lean moose meat to eat as well.

Another contestant made a gill net as well. This episode didn't show if he was successful. The only lady left found the foxes were raiding her rabbit snares, but ended up with 3 squirrels. She has a legit shot to win.

Mindhunter S2 on Netflix starting today. While I loved a lot of S1, wish there would have been a bit more action.

Saw that Peaky Blinders S5 is dropping soon. Metacritic says Oct4 on Netflix, but looks to be dropping on BBC1 Aug25. Only 6 episodes if IMDB is correct. I won't be waiting for Netflix...

Power (final season) and Ballers start up again this Sunday. The Righteous Gemstones started this last Sunday (pretty decent).

I probably won't get much done the next couple of days. I'm binge watching it. I've read all of John Douglas' books so this show (which is based on Douglas' career at the FBI) is like porn to me.

S2 is much better IMO than S1.
i was a little disappointed in one of the killers they interviewed though.

Yellowstone went up another notch last night. Three major scenes last night. No spoilers, but I will say I found the blonde that owns the boutique to be smoking hot.

Season finale is next week.

This season has been great. Even better the S1, which I thought was excellent.
I think it's my favorite show going on the last couple of years. Definitely in my top 10 all time.

I'm waiting till tomorrow night to watch the current episode.

It's already renewed for S3

I assume you're talking about the interview that involved the killer asking for Ford's sunglasses. If so, my understanding from Douglas' books is that the real interview was about as useless and frustrating as depicted in the show. Nutjob subject who had no intention of cooperating and they quickly got fed up with him and left.

Finished Orange is the New Black.

The show was awesome season 1, went downhill for a few seasons, then this last season(other than the typical blatant liberal messaging) was really enjoyable.

Alone had a great finale. Down to three (2 guys and 1 lady). It's ranging between -1 and -7 degrees during the day and the winds are getting pretty strong.. It's night and one of the guys is heating up his soup he made with fish heads and other assorted parts from his previous kill. All of a sudden his bedding (pine needles and leaves) catches fire. If goes up so fast he doesn't have a chance to extinguish it. He was able to save his sleeping bag, and bow & arrow, but that's about it. He calls to tap out and they tell him his has to wait until morning and it's too dangerous to fly the copter at night. He quickly builds a small lean to near the fire and spends the next 7 hours outside in minus degree weather. His was in a good place mentally and physically and might have won if that hadn't happened.

Down to the final two.

The guy that killed the moose is worried they will pull him because he hasn't had any fat to eat and has lost 35lb even though he's eating regularly. He had caught a huge trout and put it on his raised platform to keep it safe, but forgot to take down his ladder and another wolverine got a hold of it.

The lady isn't catching anything else in her snares so she's going to try ice fishing. She didn't bring an axe and finds it's too difficult to cut through the ice (9" thick) using the end of a machete and gives up on fishing. That night she starts talking and you know the end is near. Sure enough, the next day she taps out and we have a winner.

In the meantime our moose killer doesn't know he's won and goes ice fishing again. He catches a northern pike about 30" - 36" and starts cooking it in hopes that will be enough to convince the medical team he can stay. While the team is there under the guise of a med check and interviewing him about his health, his wife comes sneaking up to surprise him. The dude wins $500,000!
