Happy birthday Cack!

So I got on a family member's Costco membership, but the Costco here has terrible alcohol selection. The wine is okay, but that's it. The liquor store is worse than most shops I see in town. Greatly disappointed, ngl

I recently saw an article that kirklands brand is really some name brands just with kirklands labeling.

Russell Reserve 13 yr barrell strength. Lucky find. I'm a big fan of the Wild Turkey lineup and this one doesn't disappoint

Yuengling just dropped in Texas so I’m having my first ever now. My bbq spot right down the street was one of the first places to get it in,…. Pretty good stuff

Made beer brats with it last week. Not as good as PBR imo, but hey it's fine

That's wild. I thought it was nationwide.

They hooked up with Coors in Jan'21 to go after the west. They were available in 22 states and will let Coors brew their beer in Texas / Colorado for the western expansion.

A few years ago I flew into Nashville and there were guys waiting at a Circle K along I-24 for a shipment to arrive to take it back to Kentucky and Indiana.

Had some monkey shoulder and Laphroig 10 so decided to make this. Have to say it is supremely good. The laphroig smoke with the ginger is extremely pleasing.

Had a drive through pina colada.

Now time for several beers from a hidden gem brewery in Houston called 6 Wards. Great stuff!

Want a brew with an extra kick? Illegal in 15 states.

Samuel Adams' new beer is so strong it's illegal in 15 states

It's nothing new. They release it every 2 years, and people clamor for it. My buddy worked for Sam Adams for a few years at their brewery in Allentown. He got one, and we tried it. It tasted like straight up alcoholic soy sauce. Don't get the hype at all. Sam Adams, in general, doesn't make much good beer anyway IMO.

Yeah, they have decent options across the board but really they aren't much more than a intro to the craft scene type brewer to me... and hell, that's coming from someone who entered in through them 20 some years ago... with how prevalent craft options are now idk is that's even needed anymore.

If you need something that potent just drink bourbon. I don't get the strong beer nonsense. Whiskey is higher %alcohol and tastes way better.

Agreed. When I first started drinking craft at the end of college, I thought their Cherry Wheat was awesome. Then, I moved on to better craft. Had it for the first time in about 8 years last year. It was...fine.

Same exact thing here... cherry wheat was like my main fall go to for a few years when I first got into craft anything in my early to mid 20s. Last time I had it it tasted a bit too much like cough syrup to me. Haven't had it in years now. I used to absolutely love old fezziwig as well... last time I had one it too turned me off pretty good. Not because it was bad just that it didn't stand up to the memory I guess.

Have two mixed packs,… Odell Hope pack and Stones ipa mix,… I’m a huge Stone guy but I’ll be honest. The Odell IPAs have so much more depth to them. Much better
