For IrishLax on bourbon..

I like Elijah Craig. Had it in DC actually the first time at Jack Rose Whiskey Saloon. I'm not a bourbon snob by any stretch but im a big fan of Elijah.

Another nice one is Weller. Both bottles run maybe $30-40 bucks. Even my snobby family members who like the really expensive stuff are big fans of Weller and Elijah.

Where the fuck are you getting Weller for $30-40?! Unless you mean the Special Reserve (green label) in which case, yeah, that's not that exciting. If you're talking 12, though, that's crazy.

Also, if you're going to drink Elijah Craig, step up to the Barrel Proof releases. ECBP is the best bang for the buck, in my opinion.

Paper Plane:
0.75 oz of bourbon;
0.75 oz of Aperol;
0.75 oz of Amaro Nonino; and
0.75 oz lemon juice. Shaken.

One of my new favorites. Nice balance of sweet, sour and botanical flavors.

I was certainly not referring to a 12 year lol. I dont have an income. Im not using student loan money to buy expensive booze lol.

I'll look into the barrel proof stuff for a Xmas present for my brother in law.

Founders Unraveled IPA - one of the better juicy IPA's I've had.

Recently bought some Glenlivet 12yr, it was too sweet fore at first, but last night it suddenly had more spice than the other times I had it. Not sure why I couldn't taste it more originally.

Modist Brewing Orange Dreamsicle Sour IPA. This beer is amaze balls. Orange on the nose, real smooth consistency with the fluffy head and creaminess as well as slight sweetness one would expect from to the use of milk sugar. A hint of sour and strong orange with a bit of bitterness and the dryness of a good IPA on the finish. Almost like a Ramos Fizz but in beer form. This is the perfect summer beverage.

Whistle Pig - Piggyback 6 year. This is an great rye whiskey. Super smooth, hints of oak, lots of vanilla and maple syrup. I could drink this all day while playing guitar and listening to country tunes.

Rogue Dreamland American Lager.

Perfect pairing with this horrible turkey bacon BLT on crappy wheat bread w/ tasteless AZ tomatoes, topped with bland avocado mayo.

Beer sucks, sandwich sucks, this Saturday sucks.

Why did I even wake up today?

On the other hand...

Mama picked up a Rogue variety pack at Costco for $15. The Lager is old school, Midwest Grandpa Beer. Old Style/Old Milldog ish. The other stuff isn't horrible.

The Batsquatch IPA is ok to good.

The Newport Haze is billed as a hazy Pale Ale but drinks like a good tasting Session at 5.5%. Most would think it's all right, I like it. Good to above avg good.

The surprise of the pack was the Dead Guy Ale. A Maibock influenced offering that is very good. I'd buy this in a bomber. Tastes like fall.

Rogue tends to be overpriced for what it is. Most of their beers are thoroughly mediocre.

Drinking a Surly Furious myself. Nice to have it available in PA now.

It is. I'm just saying I'd buy it that way. I've never had it (or anything from Rogue) before. I always thought Rogue is to Craft what Full Throttle is to Energy Drinks. I always see it but I never see anyone buy it or drink it.

Got some Martin house Super Fast Jelly Fish Pineapple Sour and Stone/Modern Times Wizards and Gargoyles Coffe IPA that both sound very interesting but have not tried yet.

I love Rogue. I haven't heard of most of these you mentioned, but I think Dead Guy is their top seller. They also sell those in Growlers that glow in the dark. Pretty cool for Halloween. Their chocolate stout is fantastic.

That's long been my favorite Rogue offering. Hazelnut Brown Nectar is also worth picking up if you're in an autumnal mood.

Yeah. Their wit is pretty good, definitely wish I could've gotten it in time for Whitsunday. The quad is good and the IPA is surprisingly excellent
