Tough week with the fires and weather.

A great friend brought over a bottle of "Green Spot" single cask Irish Whiskey for the Georgia game.

Never had it before. Cracked it a few nights ago and it is both unique and amazing. Will buy for sure. Not sure what it compares to... I have a pretty simple palette but it's a really good whiskey. Cheers!

ETA: Another Irish Whiskey from Cork... similar region to the Redbreast Distillery.

The last bit of Bundaberg and Kraken. After that, I have 5 more Sam Octoberfest's in the fridge. Not sure what for tomorrow. During the game, depends on the bar venue.

Austin Beer Works Wet Hop IPA. They brewed this with hops that had been harvested only 12 hours before. Good stuff.

Probably the best stout I've ever had (though it's admittedly not a style I'm very well versed in). How'd you like it?

I am a dark beer drinker, so I love it. The first time I tried it, it knocked my socks off -- both literally and figuratively. I didn't realize the alcohol content was so high, so I pounded it down... then the room started to get a little "fuzzy." That was a fun night!

I managed to introduce it to family and friends. Even though most of them don't like dark beers, they enjoy the complexity of the flavors. The molasses and shoyu (soy sauce) tones that come through make it a memorable drink.

There's a gastropub in Honolulu that was doing vertical flights of The Abyss. I think when I was last in there, they had 2013, 2015, and 2016 on tap. Good stuff.

Stone Vengeful IPA brewed with pineapple and mandarin orange. Not a fan at all. I will be giving half of the 6 pack to my sister because she likes this type of beer.

Miller High Life. I bought a 32oz bottle and only need 16oz for the stew, so I couldn't waste the rest.

Drunk already? Lions, Bears and Bears? Talking about Firestone Walker?

Yes, it was supposed to be 'Bears and Beers'... typo... I love the Distortion... and nah, I sipped on one earlier, now drinking a RR... I'll keep sipping all night prob but rarely hit it too hard.

Founders Breakfast Stout.

I read through some of this thread, last night. You drink some top-notch stuff, pkt. You and Whiskyjack.

This is a great beer. I tried it when I was in SB, earlier this Summer. I wish I could find it in my hometown.
