Agreed I expected it to be IPA on crack, super hopped... It's one of the more tame Stones I've had in a while... Very good tho

My wife and I have joked for years about starting a brewery with a giant rooster as the emblem... similar to Goliath Rex wines... we would call it Giant Cock brewery... ..

Would there be a concurrent Tight (insert euphemism here) Vagina line?

Narragansett Del's Summer Shandy. Rhode Irish might know what I'm talking about.

Never tried that flavor. Is it any good?

It is not as good as blue razz or the pink lemonade, but I definitely enjoy it. Kinda an odd flavor to have before a workout, but you get used to it.

I took care of you.

Lagunitas Equinox Pale Ale brewed with oats 8% (so more like an imperial pale ale).

This is pretty good though a little past its prime. Some Lagunitas hops (some citrus, a touch of banana and lemon on the nose as well) with some foresty notes and a creaminess from the oats. I would like to try this fresh. I had the first half of the bomber in a pint glass, but I will put the second half into an IPA glass.

There's a joke here... But since it involves your wife, I'll refrain out of respect.

Is this like,... A thing? You drink before going to the gym? I'm trying to wrap my mind around this....

Basically you drink a ton of stimulants to get a better pump. There's science involved but I never cared for that part. It just wakes me up for early morning lifting.

So let me get this right.. Your morning goes like this:

- wake up
- drink some beers
- lift, bro
- read some Dante'

That's impressive.

I'll admit, 'get a better pump' in reference to the gym.... That let me know right there we weren't on the same wavelength...

haha it seems its already been covered. It supposedly helps the blood flow better and helps sustain workouts. At this point, Idk if it has that much affect on me, but mentally it helps me get my ass to the gym.

Generally I prefer cans because:
Don't have to worry about a beer going bad due to sunlight/light (though it can still go bad from temperature).
It can go many places that bottles can't (ocean, rivers, lakes, pools, etc).
It is easier for storage (you can stack it, etc).

The one downside of cans are that I have seen some pretty badly dented cans on the shelf at full price where if it was glass it would have broken and thus it wouldn't be sellable.

The one time I really prefer glass is for beers that I intend to age for a long time (multiple years).

I stole the storage idea from Whiskeyjack, I hadn't thought of that.

I get the niacin flush so I'm itchy like Tyrone.

So, IMO, my top line breweries, like Stone, should use cans.....?

Why can't you rep? Just curious, I have no reps from you...

I don't know, man. It just says I have to spread it around. I've repped other people recently. You got me.

Well, I've hit the gym with a buzz before. It gives you confidence and liquor cranks my blood, so a nip of the hard stuff can pump you up.

I generally say yes, except for things like Russian Imperial Stouts, barrel aged beers, etc. ........

Though there is some controversy over the fact the lining of beer cans are made from BPA. It helps beers to not taste metallic but it could be bad for you.

I like cans because I can crush them against my head after slamming them.

And I can easily convert one into a bong in a pinch.

Im with pkt, I'd love to try stone in a can... I prefer cans... But not with all beers... Sierra Nevada is a rare example of a brew that is better in a bottle IMO...

It took me time to come to the SN conclusion, I will admit.
