Makers and sprite. Good luck drink apparently. My redlegs get a no hitter tonight. Last time I got deep with this combo was the fall of Troy this past season.

I expect you to drink this every time ND plays this next season.

Ballast Point Victory at Sea Coffee Vanilla Imperial Porter 10%.

N: Big time coffee, vanilla, roasted malt, with some cherries and cocoa.
P: Starts on coffee and vanilla, then the dark chocolate takes over. Slight fresh grains, and whole grain breads.
F: Bitter and tannic with some over roasted coffee and dark chocolate (think 85%+ dark chocolate). grainy with a hint of vanilla as well.

A very good beer that tastes more like a stout than a porter.

Avery Salvation Ale

What do you think of it? A local place has it on tap but I haven't tried it yet. The only beers from Avery that I have tried are their standard IPA, and their Maharaja IPA and DuganA IPA.

Pretty good, I would have it again. Slight fruit taste but not too heavy, very smooth. A bargain for $7 for a 22oz. I would recommend you try it. Unfortunately for me, my brute strength broke the top of the bottle while opening it so I was constantly looking for any broken shards of glass I might be drinking.

Every time I go to the store, I am on the lookout for Maharaja but so far no luck.

Thank you. Maharaja is very good, you are a wise man to be on the look out for it. Someday we may need to do a beer swap.

I had a dream last night that I was in a bar or liquor store and I was surrounded by an endless variety of beer. It was stacked high and deep, just endless choices of brew. I couldn't begin to decide on what to drink. I concluded upon waking that maybe I visit this thread a bit to much and it's creeping into my sub-conscious.

Or, perhaps some of you hopheads arranged an "Inception" style incursion into my mind and planted a "make Black Irish a sophisticated beer geek" idea in there. Hey, I think I just came up with a great movie idea. I'm going to start hashing out a screenplay and I'll be on the phone to Christopher Nolan soon pitching, "Inception 2: Beer Wars."

3F Alpha King. Bought out the stash at Whole Foods.

*Side Note: went to WF for the first time. Mrs. Steelhead put a little cup of pineapples in our cart. I look down and see the pineapple was $7. Needless to say, we will just be getting beer there from now on.

Stone Ruinten. Holy ****. If you see it buy it as long as you like hops. Loads of hops.

N: Tropical and citrus fruits. some pine underneath.
P: Grapefruit and pine. Loads of it. It scrubs your tongue and leaves bitterness all over it. Then some tropical fruits and citrus.
F: Bitter. Did I mention bitter? Some grapefruit and pine. Lots of grapefruit rind.

Damn this is amazing as long as you like hops and loads of them. This is a remake of the Stone Ruination 10th anniversary edition from last year. It will now be an annual release going forward. Find it and buy it.
