Haven't had Lost Cost in a long while, picked up LC Watermelon Wheat to kick off my weekend... pretty good, I'm happy.

Gouden Carolus Cuvee Van de Keizer Blauw vintage 2014.

One of the most amazing beers when it is aged. Loads of plums, figs, date, caramel, currants, brown sugar and molasses.

I buy this every time a child is born and put it away until the next one is born, when it is then drank and a new one from that baby's birth year vintage is laid down until the next child.

Yep, born a month ago (#4 and the last one). Just now getting around to opening the bottle.
Right I remember you sharing that, but I didn't know if you had any more news!

LOL. If I had more news that would be a bad thing (and my wife would kill me and bury me in the desert). All 4 kids are with my wife. No baby mamas for me (well besides the wife).

I like it a lot. I'm new to the rye thing, but this one is beyond smooth and the rye shines through. Highly recommend it. What's your go to?

High West Rendezvous, if I want premium $50ish

Bulleit Rye if I am going cheaper $25-30

High West Double Rye is pretty good too $35ish

To celebrate starting a new job next week, Hangar 24 Barrel Roll #3 Pugachev's Cobra 2016. A RIS brewed with maple syrup and aged in bourbon barrels.

^Truth. Crazy good for the price. Lagunitas has been killing it recently. 3 of my favorite beers of 2016 were Waldos' Special Ale, Born Yesterday and High West-fied.

I don't know if you get Tallgrass where you are at but King Buffalo just released and it's amazing. Also really love Perrennial Sump which is a great seasonal Coffee Stout.

Unfortunately neither of those breweries distribute in my state. Both do sound good though.

Pedernales Bitter Battle. This beer got me $5 and is pretty decent. Hops up front, really bitter after. I'm a fan.

How'd you get the Hopslam?

Lagunitas IPA, cheap price. $7.27, can't really beat that

Bell's distributes here. I got to give props to Bell's for getting it here pretty fast. Was canned 1/18.

Aurora Hoppyalis... very good. Karl Strauss trips me out, not a fan of many of their beers but I really, really like this and Mosiac.

Been experimenting with making sazeracs. I tried first with Bulleit rye. It was good. Tried Larceny and Weller Special Reserve. The wheaters are too much. They are too heavy and over powered the other flavors.

Then I tried Basil Haydens. I really like this combo. The BH is light enought to add depth without getting lost. Whistlepig is still the best though.

I'm celebrating my 25th birthday with Ultra Premium North Dakota Select Club whiskey. Oddly enough, it's imported from Canada. Pretty dumb.

I'm enjoying it though.
