America's greatest gift to the world: bourbon. Agree or disagree?

Agree. As a matter of fact I am presently enjoying a Bookers neat. I also have a Blanton's Gold waiting on me next.

Surly Darkness. Been trying to get my hands on this since it was released almost 2 weeks ago. One of my favorites.

Dogfishead Flesh and Blood IPA. Serviceable IPA but nothing spectacular. DFH stuff tends to be petty hit or miss with me. Also gives the worst hangovers of any beer I drink. Glad I only bought one.

Agree. Other than 90 minute, not another DFH beer I really like. And, they're all pretty expensive.

Lol... I came here to post the same thing...

Flesh n Blood...

One of my more enjoyable DFH beers IMO.... But it's still over priced and not spectacular. I'm enjoying it tho, if it were reasonably priced it'd get it often.

Backwoods Bastard. First time having this. Definitely a Founders, barrel aged beer. Kinda sweet, lots of caramel taste, bourbon too. Think a few months will mellow it out some, really like it.

Lots of wine.

Great way to end my stay in Florence.

Dogfish Head Flesh and Blood. I agree with what was said by others about DFH. Generally I'm not too impressed. But I agree with ACamp on this one. I'm enjoying this beer. Although it is definitely overpriced.

I had cheap wine, cheap wine, grappa, decent Umbrian wine and then maybe got the husband of my host in trouble. Oh well. I had wine.

Hard to narrow it down I know, but that's one of my favorite scenes in the entire movie.

Love it. Also Michael can't drink because he's diabetic. I drink wine because it's delicious and I don't suffer from Diabeetus.

Tomorrow: Sagrantino and Birra di Nursia

I didn't think Michael's diabetes was explicitly addressed until Part 3. I always equated his not drinking to be a reflection of him being a control freak.

It's why he drank club soda in Part II. But that's really just taking stuff from the book and assuming that it's the same in the film. Great stuff though. I might need to have more wine tonight...

Bought some Junior Johnson's Apple Pie Moonshine on a whim. Not bad. The wife really likes it and she's not a drinker.

Just a low end Barbera d'Asti. Not bad at all.

A couple of good Stone beers coming out soon (if not already out)
Stone Double Bastard Bigger Longer Uncut (35% aged in Laphroaig casks, 15% in Templeton Rye casks and 50% fresh). NDinMich this seems right up your alley.

Stone Southern Charred (Double Badtard aged in Bourbon barrels).

Also coming next year is Stone Enjoy By Chocolate & Coffee IPA.

Half liter of table wine with lunch. That may not have been smart. Whoops

First two are definitely on my list to find! Coffee and Chocolate IPA? Will probably pass on that.

Dogfish Head Namaste. Really excellent, pale and fragrant. Reminds me a bit of Hoegarden but with a bit more bite. I'm not sure it was the best choice to pair with my bacon-potato-jalapeno pizza, but I'm looking forward to the rest of the six pack.
