Does anyone have an article or 'go to' source for shows you just watched that need to explain to you what you just saw as if you were a 7 year old?

I have no idea what I just saw.

I knew it. You finally slipped. You're really a 7 year old kid posting stuff about decks, photos of some guy with his girlfriend, crawl spaces (now we know why you wouldn't get in the crawl space), etc. Quite the ruse to hide your real identity. How many Legos do you own? lol

I thought it was pretty good and will continue to watch.

It's like "Humans" on Amazon Prime, a BBC show, but with a wilder premise and a much bigger budget.

I remember hearing something about Anthony Hopkins' character adding code to provide more realistic facial features and that being thought of as the issue causing the hosts to question their reality.

Anyway, they seem to be able to unfold a complex story line pretty well so far.. so I'll stay tuned.

You know a show is good when you already have people writing articles about fan theories...

HBO has been killing it since about 1992 with The Larry Sanders Show and amped up like crazy since 1997 with Oz.

Excerpt from Bill Simmons on Game of thrones from 2012: Game of NBA Thrones, Part 1 «

Anytime someone asked if I was watching Game of Thrones, I explained that it wasn’t my kind of show. They always had the same reaction: “What????? It’s a great show! How can you not watch it? It makes no sense!”

From there, I’d explain that the whole dragon/sword/forest era was never really my thing — dating back to the 1980s, when the Dungeons and Dragons kids took it to a pretty creepy place — and somewhere along the line, I decided that I just didn’t enjoy voyaging into the forest. For any reason. If I could hold out on Lord of the Rings, then I could hold out on Game of Thrones. What changed? On the day after Season 2’s epic “Blackwater” episode aired, I happened to be in Grantland’s office as everyone was breathlessly rehashing it. At one point, Hollywood Prospectus editor Mark Lisanti glanced over to me and said, “I can’t believe you don’t watch this show.”

I knew that disappointed, semi-incredulous look — it’s the same one I direct at my father every time he admits that he hasn’t started Mad Men yet (even though I bought him the Season 1 DVD two years ago). What are you doing? I thought you liked TV. This makes no sense! That night on the phone, my buddy House agreed with Lisanti’s disbelief and added, “Just so you know, that show has a ton of nudity.” Well then! I started watching that weekend and the rest was history.

This second episode was really good IMO. I'll wait until tomorrow for plot points to avoid a spoiler for the guys on the Left Coast.

Good episode. I like how things are not overly confusing early on.

I still don't get the whole gun thing. I hope they explain that a bit better.

Watched the second episode. It's not blown me away yet, but it's good enough to watch episode 3.

This is about robots in the wild west??? I was told that's the basic premise, is that true?

I read that apparently the guns know when they are pointed at a human and decrease the velocity of the bullets.

I am hooked. The acting and visuals are incredible.

Yes it's really really good. So many shows have tried to rip off the Lost formula of creating mystery and intrigue, but this is the first show that even comes close IMO. This is the first time since Lost that I'm actively searching out fan theories and message boards that are analyzing every frame.

Bravo Jonnathan Nolan.

The entire scene between Theresa and Ford really confused me. Well, the end did anyway. What was that massive tractor looking thing?

I thought it was a piece of construction equipment, sort of like the big piece in Minority Report that tore down an entire house. He was showing how unsentimental he was by having the entire plantation torn apart to build his upgrades. Breaking some eggs to make an ominous omelet.

I've already given up. Other than Ed Harris scenes, it's boring me to death.

Which is surprising. I was really looking forward too this show. But for some reason, I just cant get into it

In its purest sense yes. Advanced robots that look and act human and/or animal. It's basically an amusement park where you spend $40K per day (I believe) to live your wild west fantasy. Half of the show is devoted to the people who develop and operate the park.

Watched the most recent episode. It's becoming very clear that Hopkins is working on an experiment where he can control his robots via mental telepathy and can also get into the minds of humans. He's looking to rule the world.

Just started watching. Get to binge watch the first four to get caught up. I like it so far.

Great pic of Hill-dawg with the fly (page one of thread, didn't quote).

I liked the pilot. My opinion is that EH is working for someone else to get patented info, or he's just trying to sabotage the whole park. Either way, it's intriguing. How do they not know what he's doing? You'd think they'd have alerts for rogue patrons and rogue androids (ie. when EH took the dealer up into the mountains and scalped him).

This is the part that I don't get, but I haven't watched the most recent episode so maybe there is something that I haven't seen. They know that The Man in Black is in the park as they've seen him and said something like "he's a long time visitor and he gets to do whatever he wants"

What I don't get, is why don't they put a stop to what he is doing? They know about it, but let him continue to do it? I just haven't put together why. Any ideas?

Probably a big time investor. Got one of those lifetime passes...Or he's stuck in there.

I personally don't even think it's a real park. I mean, I know I see the dummies (at least the first two I watched) but I still somehow think this is all in their head or something like that

I realize that, but they can see everything that goes on in the park, literally everything, at least that's how I've been thinking of it. They have to see that he is no longer taking part in any of the storylines or "loops". I would think that should raise some eyebrows.

I guess, my point is, and to take it one step further, there obviously has to be another reason behind why they allow him to do this, other than just he's paid a lot of money. They owe him something, more so than money? Maybe they want him to find what he is looking for?

Maybe they can't actually see what he is doing? They don't mention they actually "See him" they just tell someone to "Let him do what he wants"

My guess is they can't actually monitor him.

I was under the impression that they saw him on the monitor and the young gal, forget her name, says to the security guard. Should we stop this guy, and the head security guard says "No, he's a long time visitor and he gets to do what he wants." In that scene, they are watching him some monitor, are they not?

I have no idea. I'm just throwing out theories. I haven't watched the new episodes yet.
