This would be the perfect year for us to finally break the “no big bowl wins” curse, especially because bowl games are about to be made obsolete by 12 team playoff. Idk this is the optimistic view but this is the best Irish defense I’ve ever seen. Hartman is just a disappointment. Think we probably drop one more so id be soooo happy with 10-2

Since we are fantasizing, we need to win the rest of our games in dominant fashion.

OSU needs to win out. Penn State will need to beat Michigan. Michigan will need to lose to Maryland. OSU will need to beat Iowa. Big 10 Champs OSU LOCK

Duke needs to beat FSU and Louisville, then lose to UNC and beat FSU again in the ACC final. UNC needs to lose to Virginia/NC State (not likely) and Clemson. Florida St. needs to lose to Miami and then Duke again in the conference championship. Miami needs to beat Louisville. Clemson’s only loss moving forward needs to be us. Duke ACC champs who we beat. Not a lock.

Georgia needs to wax Ole Miss. LSU needs to beat Alabama. Georgia needs to destroy LSU in the conference championship. SEC Champs Georgia LOCK

Washington needs to win out. Oregon needs to lose to Utah. USC needs to beat Utah. Oregon needs to beat USC. Washington needs to beat Oregon in the conference title. Pac12 Washington LOCK.

Texas will need to lose to TCU or Kansas St. Oklahoma needs to lose to Oklahoma St. and/or another bum team in the Big 12. Who the fuck knows, I tired myself out, lol.

In short, we blew it. We ain’t making the playoffs.

Just win baby. If we somehow go 10-2 this season, that’s about what I had predicted coming into the year, with an outside shot at 11-1. I had us going 3-1 at best in the stretch we went 2-2 on. In hindsight, the OSU loss is more damning than the Louisville loss. We had OSU beat. Louisville just beat us that night.

Like... there's a not zero part of me honestly wanting Southern Cal to win and Caleb dickbag to have a great game.
