We win 41 - 28 and the entire site loses its collective mind that we gave up 28 to a terrible BC offense.
This will be as boring as the Wake game. 23-3. Their offense is terrible. They're averaging 8.75 points per game against FBS opponents...
Joe Schmidt 30 tackles, 15 for loss. ND wins 45-3.
Trap game for us and lots of factors that may make us feel uncomfortable (i.e. baseball stadium, same sideline, etc.). This is BC's Super Bowl and I think their defense is probably as good as Temple's. We will find a way to win but I don't think we will look impressive.
ND 26
BC 17
Yeah I'm not really worried about a "trap" scenario here, that was more WF. I just think BC's defense is too damn good to get truly housed by anyone this year. I think we control the game the whole way through and win in "boring" fashion leaving IE, DD, and the ND fanbase restless for another week. Kirk Herbstreit will then send out a series of tweets about how Iowa is a "lock" to get in even if they lose the B1G title game and half the fanbase will move to San Diego and take part in a mass, ritual suicide.WF was the trap game. This is essentially a road game in disguise. Unis will get every hyped for a fast start.
I hope BC also opts for the Pitt strategy of single covering Fuller with no over the top help all game.this game could really help determine if we're a playoff team in the eyes of the committee, clemson and fsu struggled with bc, we need to keep the pedal on the floor in my opinion. a big win would be a plus, any win won't hurt, and obviously a loss is devastating.
Bc just like wake and pitt will play hack-a-shaq on our receivers all night, crash on the run and see if we can find a way to create offense Hopefully the refs control the PI calls from the start to show that it won't be tolerated.
It'll also be another raucous atmosphere right in BC's back yard, hopefully our boys will be a little more motivated than the temple game.
holding out hope that kelly has a gameplan to destroy these guys, but we haven't seen it all come together yet, and with stanford lurking, i see another tedious slow choke out by ND over bc 27-10 or so. but man I'd love to be wrong and watch us run up the score on these a$$holes
