eh, this FSU team is so far from what they fielded even in the ACC championship game that I don't think you can draw any conclusions from this. Full strength Georgia is probably a better team than full strength FSU, and no question that it's a deeper team, but gut feeling about relative strength shouldn't be how the committee picks playoff teams.
Exactly. None of this tonight really proves shit, especially to a bunch of ND fans harboring resentment over something that happened 30 years ago.

Committee clearly made the right call and that was obvious IMO at the time. Moreso now.
But the Attorney General with the backing of the governor is investigating for possible anti trust violations. No titles should awarded until the courts have spoken, and virtually every judge in the state has been appointed by the current governor so it ain't over till its over.

I want one to come up to NW Indiana in December. Honestly looking forward to it to the point I'd overpay to see it live.
Was thinking about this last night. How fun a home playoff game would be. A lot more fun than these watered-down, portaled and opted-out NY6 games have been. I flat fell asleep watching Ohio State-Mizzou.

Hoping embarrassments like OSU and FSU force coaches to lay the hammer down on opt outs. Just totally unfair to the rest of the team to have to getting murdered by UGA like this.

It's a character issue in my book. You abandon your teammates and your school for selfish reasons.

Do you consider it a character issue when a coach leaves for a new job, like Parker did, for instance?

What are the coaches supposed to do? The guys who are opting out are gone. Criticizing them just makes you (millionaire football coach) look like an asshole and potentially alienates the rest of the team that'll still be there next year. A lot of those guys would like, in 12 months, to be in position to opt out themselves.

They need to shift the transfer portal later, to after the bowl games. That would help. The expanded playoff will keep more of the draft opt-outs playing as well. ESPN/bowls paying guys to play in these games would help too.

OK. What about the character of Parker and Mike Brown and Mike Elko and Jonathan Smith?
No respect for a coach who abandons the team before the bowl. I believe in commitment, loyalty, character, and keeping your word... player or coach.
