How annoying must our USA! USA! Chant be to the rest of the world at this point lol..

How epic is this? Revenge against Japan or a showdown with with de basdards from England... Either would be amazing for different reasons.

Japan is better and I don't trust Ellis to put together a good gameplan two games in a row so I'd rather see them play England.

Japan is better and I don't trust Ellis to put together a good gameplan two games in a row so I'd rather see them play England.

Me also... Plus I can't see us losing to England, I just can't, and the thought of beating them in a major soccer match like this gives my Scottish-American blood a stiff one.

England on 4th of July weekend would be so poetic.

Serious props to Jill Ellis on fixing the team's formation and getting the players right. Took her awhile but she got it right for when it matters. Thoroughly outplayed Germany for the entire game.

Jill kind of pissed me off with that post-game interview. Yes player execution matters but if you're putting them in a system where they are a player down in midfield, not pressing, and hoofing it long to Abby, the most talented women's team in the world isn't going to look very good. Credit where it's due though, she did it right. it almost seems like she just waited until we played another quality team to break it out. Basically every game up until now:

That was a terrific performance by the girls and they played an amazing game. On to the final!

Yeah, as bad as they were the first 4 games, the last 2 games she got right (even the China game, even if it was lucky, she picked the right players), especially today. Fantastic strategy, and the ladies dominated. Awesome.

... and Klingenberg for being ten times as tough as she looks; Krieger just the same. Lloyd and Holiday finally getting it right in midfield. Heath and Solo doing what they had to do and doing it well, and our poor maligned "little horse" Alex who in fact terrorized those D-Backs all night, but just can't quite get the last touch correct.
