USC Recruiting Weekend

Mike Frank just said early returns very positive. Big impression with Quick/Juju Smith. Not a lot of guys with the timetable to pull the trigger, but Luatua could pop and then he mentioned Tranquill too. Obviously, seems like we just about locked up Hoge.

Scarborough really had a great time. Florida sucked again and lost, so that probably helps us.Seems like we really made a big move there.

Like I mentioned last night, today is the day of meeting with Kelly, position coaches, etc. so once those conclude we'll probably learn whether anyone wants to pull the trigger (hopefully Luatua). We'll also start getting more feedback from kids as they leave campus and more notes from sources.

He is currently "committed" to Alabama [right?]. But I hear about Florida too. Was it Bama/Florida out front with ND third (before this weekend)? Why do people feel so strongly he won't sign with Bama?

Here's the thing don't be so quick to assume he is like Quan and Standifer. Not saying he's going to commit to ND but he is extremely different from those two. I'm curious to see how this one plays out.

According to ISD- Drue Tranquill had a good time but not ready to make a final decision yet. Will go on to visit Purdue next week. ISD still expects him to end up Irish.

Honestly I don't care when Luatua pulls the trigger because I think he's Irish. Quick sounds like an OU/ND battle at the end of the day. Think Watkins and Hendrix are highly probable. Great shot with Tranquill. Love the impression we made with Elam, just hope he qualifies.

I would've been bored out of my mind if I'd attended the Clemson game.

From everything I've heard it was great. I heard that from my parents, friends, and lots of Internet people have said the same. Apparently NBC doesn't carry as much crowd noise audio as other stations in their broadcast.

Theres an update on Lazard on Rivals. Not much of substance there. He was hosted by Onwaulu and had a good time with him and the commits. Said he is solid to Iowa State except if he feels like he should switch to ND, whatever that means haha.

I don't know, the Stanford game last year was unreal. But it was definitely a great atmosphere.
