You are talking about one man. I would think the collective at USC has a much larger pool especially being in LA/Hollywood. Look how much Steven Spielberg, a CS Long Beach alum who was rejected by USC, donates to the school.

Growing up and being around a bunch of USC alum (most of my family), I know how much ND being successful chaps their asses. Way more than if UCLA does anything. They never have nor will consider UCLA on their level, so they only compare themselves to a ND. The last year especially set the money powers who support the school on fire.

But people hate USC for all the reasons you DON'T want to be hated for. They're not hated because they're successful, they're hated because they are responsible for dissolving a beloved conference and continuing CFB down the path it's on, one that is widely reviled by a vast majority of CFB fans.

Sounds like the new USC plan is to hire Bowden, Rob Ryan, pay stupid money for new recruits, and avoid tough non conference games in the future. Got it. Still maintain their fan support, Lincoln Riley, and culture aren't going to work in the Big 10. Cannot wait to throttle them this season.
