I remember when this was a top 10 win.
Future Notre Dame OC Lincoln Riley you mean?I feel so vindicated on Lincoln Riley.
It could still end up one of the 10 best wins for ND this season.I remember when this was a top 10 win.
I have been thinking same ole' same ole' in terms of MF first two seasons. They haven't been exactly alike but a lot of similarities: We lose a close one to OSU that we could have likely won (should have won this year), then we play terribly to lesser opponents after the tough OSU loss (in '22, we play a lot closer than they should be and lose to Marshall and Stanford) whereas we beat Duke in a close one and get spanked by Louisville (who could now actually win the ACC championship)in '23; then we have the pressure's off, we ain't going to the playoffs, annihilations at home post mid-terms (not thinking about school work, at home, no more playoff pressure); followed by post-annihilation game Nov letdown (USC in '22, Clemson this year); then the Senior Day home game, get the fuck out of here, this is our house beat down before Thanksgiving and then a mid-range bowl game (which we hope to win). Again, not exactly in same order and # of losses but very close in ups and downs and you kind of feel like you know when and where the wins (and annihilations), the losses (and beatdowns), and the upset losses are going to occur. And following this logic, I wouldn't be surprised if they experience a final '23 game loss away at Stanford like this up and down team is prone to do in such a situation. Too many uneven, up and down performances the past two years that MF needs to get a handle on far more consistency, performance and winning... Same ole' same ole' SMHIt's the same ole' same ole'.... As soon as we beat a team, they tank.
Not intentionally, but because we steal their spirit to fight on..
If they beat Us, they get better. Prove me wrong......
Imagine If we had a good OC, and S&C coach....
Would be win win for ND unless usc finally hires someone with a pulseI predict Riley goes to TAMU.
No it wouldn’t beWould be win win for ND unless usc finally hires someone with a pulse
The heart and soul of our livelihood...I have been thinking same ole' same ole' in terms of MF first two seasons. I'd like to keep playing these cotton soft Lincoln Riley teams forever. No it wouldn’t be
Good. Let those predictable people lose once again,... after spending oil money on loses....I predict Riley goes to TAMU.
Wasn’t OU leaving for the SEC one of the reasons he left for Southern Cal?I predict Riley goes to TAMU.
YES! Riley wanted nothing to do with SEC Football. Oklahoma Fans know this fact.Wasn’t OU leaving for the SEC one of the reasons he left for Southern Cal?
Riley had better hire a DC like his job depends on it. And who do they have for a QB next year? I assume there's some 5-star understudy? What a disaster of a season, I love it.
Next year won’t be any better, look at usc schedule for next year. Yikes
Yes, but to be fair Fortuna doesn't actually watch the games.Remember when Fortuna questioned how ND would ever compete with them again after last year’s game? LOL
Yes. Five-star super recruit Malachi Nelson.Riley had better hire a DC like his job depends on it. And who do they have for a QB next year? I assume there's some 5-star understudy?
I agree.I’m not convinced USC will ever be great as long as they look to the portal to build the roster. I really don’t think that’s a winning strategy

I don't know how to pronounce his name, but it reminds me of the creepy guy:Yes. Five-star super recruit Malachi Nelson.
The Caleb Williams - USC marriage is ending in terrible fashion. I really feel sorry for both parties…
I think their schedule this year is tougher. What a disaster of a season, I love it.

I guess we'll see how it shakes out but I doubt it.I think their schedule this year is tougher.
The funny thing is, what the portal is best for - QBs and plug-and-play skill position guys - are the positions USC and Lincoln Riley are generally good at anyway. It's a lot harder to build lines via the portal, especially on offense. Good luck to them portaling in an OL that can stand up in the Big Ten.I’m not convinced USC will ever be great as long as they look to the portal to build the roster. I really don’t think that’s a winning strategy
