My complaints don’t really have anything to do with ND. I most don’t want the playoffs watered down with shit teams because they happen to pull off a miracle upset.

The rest of the country would think a bubble 3 loss ND is a shit team. And honestly so would we probably lol.

Makes sense. But, I feel the committee got it right.

I just have Alabama fatigue. They can take a year off.

I mean for like the 4th time 2022 Purdue, who lost, does not matter. The Big Ten is either restructuring or getting rid of divisions

OSU and PSU would have been in regardless. Changes nothing to NDs chances (which the system isn’t built specifically for our chances anyways)
Why would the B1G be motivated to change anything? If Purdue had won last night they would have gotten 4 teams into the playoffs.

Except they didn’t win, there wasn’t a 12 team this year, and the big ten already has plans to change. I’ve exhausted my argument on hypotheticals that won’t/didn’t happen.

The general sentiment is most conferences realign or go away from divisions. Which is the point I keep repeating that seems to be lost. So they can happen now, but are less likely to happen in the future. Y’all haven’t been calibrating your argument to that for some reason. The Big Ten Championship game is likely a matchup between 0/1/2 loss teams in the future.
That doesn't eliminate the possibility of an average 3 or 4 loss conf champ getting an automatic bid to the playoff.

and having no auto bids doesn’t truly eliminate the possibility of having an average 3 loss team either. So what’s your point? If you want that possibility truly eliminated, you’ll have to make a rule saying nobody with more than 2 losses.

I’ll answer, you want the 3 loss team to be Notre Dame.

It’s pretty simple, if you run your mouth and paint your nails talking shit about another team instead of being a team first guy it might be the reason people are looking down on you. Also doesn’t hurt he’s incredibly unlikeable

What people want is for it to be the best 12 teams. No other criteria or rules or workarounds. Get the 12 best teams (or best resumes or whatever) and have them play in the playoff.

I can see their first B1G schedule being -

Neutral - LSU in Vegas
Home - SJSU
Home - Purdue
Away - Rutgers
Home - Illinois
Away - Northwestern
Home - Minn
Home - Maryland
Away - Indiana
Away - Nebraska
Home - Iowa
Home - Notre Dame

He was relatively unknown beyond the high recruiting profile talent and transfer due to splitting time with Rattler last year and USC’s late game times until recently. Within a few short weeks he is turning into college sports biggest heel since JJ Redick.

When you do stuff like this or the fingernail bs, how do you not realize this is offputting to many voters and you're hurting your chances to win the Heisman? Especially when you follow it up by laying an egg in your conference championship game.

I always root against Bama but I can‘t recall any players acting like this. From the Bill Curry days until now, I struggle to think of any players in that category. Always a respectful culture there.

Have you read anything I've written? Given my stance on playoff expansion, you'd think I'm a Bama or Georgia fan haha. ND and every other team in America makes their own bed. When every team plays 12 regular season games and you lose 3, my position is that you're not good enough and don't deserve a shot at the title.

Automatic bids leaves the door open for rewarding average. I oppose it strongly.

USC has opened as an early favorite (2.5 points) in the Cotton Bowl, but history is not on the Trojans’ side. The loser of the Pac-12 title game, which was instituted in 2011, is 0-10 all-time in bowl games. The only title game loser that hasn’t lost a bowl game was USC in 2020, which opted out of a bowl game during the COVID-19-shortened season.

2.5 point favorites to Tulane is kind of embarrassing, TBH.

What’s the point of having a conference any way.

Yeah. That wouldn't happen at Bama. It wouldn't happen at Clemson or at Michigan either, much as I loathe them. But that's what USC is right now.
