Officials say they hit the 27-year-old with 1 count of first-degree domestic violence assault, 1 count of domestic violence unlawful imprisonment and 1 count of resisting arrest.
In court docs, prosecutors say, "The defendant, who is physically conditioned and trained to compete at the highest level of professional sports, strangled, suffocated and beat the victim into unconsciousness -- twice -- both times leaving her for dead as blood poured from her nose and mouth, and into her stomach and lungs."

I didn't know he went undrafted because of off the field issues. Did he have a history of this kind of crap?

At least one while in college. Police had fire the bean bags at him because he was intoxicated and belligerant.

He made bail at $400K. Evidently he thought she was dead and carried on about his business. When she was walking around he was genuinely suprised she was alive according to the GF's account of the incident.

USC landed one of the top available prospects on the board, picking up a commitment from four-star linebacker Raesjon Davis on National Signing Day.

Davis, a top 50 prospect nationally, announced he'd stay home in California live on CBS Sports HQ. Davis joins a Trojans class that entered the day ranked eighth in the country. Davis checks in at No. 48 in his class and No. 4 nationally among 2021 0utside linebacker prospects, per the 247Sports Composite. Davis' commitment lifts USC to seventh in the 2021 Team Class Rankings after entering the day in eighth place.

Here's 247Sports' full evaluation of Davis, via national analyst Greg Biggins:

"One of the most versatile linebackers in the country. Covers like a safety but hits like a linebacker. Lacks ideal length for an outside ‘backer but does have long arms on his 6-1 frame and might not be done growing. Very good as an outside pass rusher showing the burst to get around the edge and the power to run through most high school tackles. Can break down in space and is an excellent open field tackler and shows the speed to run down plays from behind. Has a non-stop motor and plays with an aggressive edge to him. Projects as an impact, upper-tier Power 5 starter and future high-round NFL draft pick."
