I don't know how he could not be charged with anything. From everything I've learned. Even if Joe was a threat the moment that guy shot him and he fell to the ground. At that time Joe is no longer a threat so anything after that would be excessive and a crime. Which if the witness reports are true, he shot him again while he was on the ground.

Obviously this is all speculation until more reports come out but that's how I see it at this moment.

I checked out the intersection. Cameras on every pole. Probbably good camera coverage from the Shell station it happened in front of too. The authorities probably saw something that backed up the shooters account and discredited the witnesses.

That would be my theory at least.

See for yourself here.

Thank you, that would make more sense to have video evidence. Having worked with law enforcement for a period of time I had never witnessed a person being released just because or arrested for the fun of it. So it seemed odd that he'd be released when only having witness evidence to go with.

Let's hope this doesn't get blown out of proportion from what hard evidence may prove.

From everything I have read online, the "I'm a Trump supporter" appears to be added by someone on Twitter trying to incite people. It doesn't appear in any legitimate reporting on the killing.

Of course he didn't say that. My guess is a tweet that starts off with " The White Supremacist that kill Joe body..." is not going to be from the Walter Cronkite school of journalism. I mean, can't even write a sentence but can spell supremacist... which says something in and of itself.

Like you I am speculating, but an unarmed person attempting to apologies, shot once then shot again while lying on the ground, really doesn't fit self defense to me. But that's just me.

I doubt it went down like that. Camera was on him the whole time. They saw what happened and it matches the shooter's story, not the witnesses.

Sorry just saw your other post making reference to the Camera's at the intersection. I have not heard the shooter's side of it yet.

USC shows a ruthless side in recruiting game

USC coach Clay Helton said Wednesday night he treats underclassmen like his “own son” when helping them make a decision on whether to turn pro early.

It appears Helton can also be ruthless when putting together a recruiting class.

Trojans had three players decommit last week who were considered three-star recruits. When that happens, it usually means they were advised to seek another school. So right now, linebacker Daniel Green, defensive lineman James Lynch and cornerback Wylan Free are considering their options.

So what changed between today and last summer, when these prospects committed to USC? An eight-game winning streak.

USC is a top-10 team and headed to the Rose Bowl. It has a marquee quarterback (Sam Darnold) and a Thorpe Award winner (Adoree’ Jackson). It should have no problem signing a top-five recruiting class

Guys, let's not act like this is the first time we've seen this. Southern Cal has been doing it for years, matter of fact, they're one of the first ones I can remember doing it back in the mid 2000's. Around the time of their NC runs, they had some decommits because they wanted to make room for higher profile kids. Urban was one of the first to do it in the $EC, that I can remember.

yeah, but they always seem to have another one in line....the QB is going to be a b*tch the next few years,

Yeah...I don't know his name but he is a gunslinger and seems to be getting better each time I see him play.

Every QB recruit Stanford has landed since Luck has been wildly overrated. Very typical when you recruit California prospects at that position... tons of overrated players every year. So I'm very interested to see what happens with Mills.

KJ Costello was not overrated in HS.

Malik Henry, Ricky Town, Travis Waller, Blake Barnett & Matt Fink in the beginning... yes

Rosen, Costello, Brady White, Devon Modster, Patrick O'Brien, Khalil Tate correctly rated.

Jake Browning, Sam Darnold, Chase Garbers, Quentin Davis, underrated.

Man, remember when everyone thought Barnett was a can't miss prospect and Koon was calling for "Notre Dame Man" status?

Travis Waller was not overrated -- everyone on this board ragged on him even back then.

He was overrated by the services. How'd you like to be known as the guy who kept ESB to 30 rec, 400 something yards and a handful of TD's. They were tough to watch in 2014.
