1. Good grief UNC is undisciplined.

2. ND lacks attention to detail and it cost them against Marshall and almost cost them against Cal. When you have teams “dead” you CANNOT do stupid shit to give them life. You can’t do what Estime did extending the ball. Can’t do what Cam Hart did on 4th and 21. This may a symptom of going from a guy like Kelly to a guy like Freeman.

3. Freeman does good game management. I appreciate his aggressiveness and timeout usage. For example, the timeout right before the onside kick.

4. ND got a two-score win on the road (this one as an underdog) because they fixed the OL and running game against a soft team.

5. Drew Pyne executed well and is showing growth.

Today was fun for the most part. Not all games this season will be satisfying but let’s enjoy it.

Overall, I’d give the offense an A- today and that’s really only a - for the first two drives and Estime’s fumble to not cap it off. Defense had a tough task. They forced a turnover and constantly got pressure and did enough I guess but these lapses can’t happen. I’ll give them a C-. Special teams a B. I like the punt tip and Joseph in return, but missed field goal dings this of course.

Please show this to every running back recruit in the country:
  • Chris Tyree 104 yards 1 touchdown
  • Logan Diggs 110 yards 1 touchdown
  • Audric Estime 136 yards 2 touchdowns
Hats off to Pyne. Guy played a damn near perfect game. Only remember a couple bad throws and him not getting the sneak (not really his fault).

Michael Mayer is a high octane offense I believe has better stats than Brock Bowers.

Styles with a very nice game and I was happy to see Thomas get involved today.

The defensive line played a helluva game. The linebackers were okay. Tough task. We really missed DJ Brown in the second half. What happened to him?

Idk what Kiser provides that wouldn’t be better from Kollie.

I am glad we are getting the freshman corners PT but they’re really struggling here for every other good play they make.

Lastly, shout out Tommy Rees. He’s not off the hook yet for Marshall or his QB recruiting/development, but today was beautiful and probably as easy as they come for him.

The snap split as we leave the bye at CB will be interesting.

Injuries of Henderson, Fisher, and Brown hopefully are minor and resolved by then.

ND was dominant. Bummer the scoreboard doesn't show it like it should... but NC got faced right there.

Bummer Estime fumbled. I'm officially in love with him.

Tommy did a great job after the 1st. Really swell play calling. I'm happy.

No complaints here. Some detail is needed. Normally I would have been flustered by constantly running the ball in fourth quarter, but it was working.

Only issue was really on Cam Hart. It's pathetic to give up a 60+ yd touchdown on 4th & 21. Shit like that will keep a team in the game.

Great game. Tommy calls a great game and the team is starting to click. Still iffy about Freeman's TO's and decisions to not run plays before the end of quarters and halfs.

Pleasantly surprised and happy overall. Kind of sucked we gave them garbage points toward the end. Tommy did a great job. We are finally clicking but have lots to improve on.

Pyne played really well, the OL was dominant, and the RBs feasted. Rees was creative, aggressive when appropriate, conservative when appropriate, and spread the ball around. Is that performance sustainable? Is Pyne the long term answer? Who knows. But for now, I'll take it and be happy going into the bye, before we all turn our attention to BYU.

No such thing as a perfect win but for the type of season we’re embarking on, this is as good as it gets. Domination + 45 points + mistakes. On the road as an underdog.

Team gets a taste of dominating the opponent, they make correctable mistakes, and they go into the BYE on a 2-game winning streak.

I said 11-1 because I thought Buchner was gonna ball out and the offensive line would be dominant.

Clearly I was wrong about Buchner, and was wrong about the offensive line the first two games. If this line shows up the rest of the year, ND should be able to out-physical Navy, UNLV, Stanford, BC, and Syracuse to get them to 7 wins. Who knows what could happen against soft ass USC, Clemson at home, and an experienced but talent deficient BYU. 8 wins and a bowl victory to get to 9 would be pretty damn satisfying given the start.

Thunder & Lightning looked great today. Audric Estime is exactly who we thought he was and Tyree added some out of nowhere wiggle and vision to his straight away speed

Drew Pyne channeled his inner Stetson Bennett and executed most excellently

Tommy called a 9/10 game.

Tommy needs to get to the NFL asap so he doesn't have to deal with recruiting and HS-->College development anymore.

Foskey made millions in the first half.

Mayer told Bowers that though Brock may be the next George Kittle, he's the next Kelce/Andrews.

Alt/Patterson looking like McG/Q on the left side. HH's doubles are masterpieces.

Liked what I saw from Jaden Thomas and Lo Styles showed us what we thought was coming.

Dan Orlovsky's man crush on Marist was borderline creepazoid.

What did Foskey do in the first half? I possibly missed it.

Such a great win on the road. The scoreboard doesn’t show it but we dominated that game from the second quarter thur the fourth quarter. We are 2-2.

Drew was pretty good today. Missed 2 or 3 throws that were gimmes. Had some patience in the pocket.

Tyree and Estime are going to be a very good 1 or 2 punch. They need to touch the ball.

Diggs is a good back but he just isn’t very fast. A couple of the touches he had today Tyree and Estime would have gotten more yards.

Tommy Rees play calling after the first quarter was pretty good.

To think we could have had 10 more points it awesome.

The freshman DB’s are playing some very good football.

Glad the defense got their first turnover.

Glad to see some other young guys get on the field. Even though Prince got lucky.

Cam Hart is struggling bad this year.

Can’t have that fumble at the end.

Had a few play calls that were head scratching.

The defense gave up another big play during prevent and that can’t keep happen.

Unc’s Qb is gonna be good.

That targeting was flat out bull shit.

Dan was good though. Trade him and ole Jason Garrett.
