scUM fans are the WORST. I live in MI near the IN state line, and they are so obnoxious. Their favorite saying is "Oh well at least we beat ND" But they blew their bowl game, they can't beat OSU, and they never beat a ranked opponent in 2010 regular season. I simply CANNOT wait till 9-10-11 when we finally give them the butt whippin they deserve that is SOOOOO overdue!

Who cares. A little trash talk never hurt anyone. Michigan, and ND do not like eachother. It's a mean spirited rivalry, and trash talk is part of it. I'm sure these UM posters are great people outside of the college football world...but in CFB land they are scUMbags.

I don't think ND - Mich is quite so mean spirited. I HATED Miami. With a mean spirit.

Didn't care one way or the other about USC until a former girlfriend walked in to my room looking for sexy time while wearing a USC t-shirt that her USC friend gave her. My reaction got her scared. Very scared. No sexy time.

Living in New Orleans, the Saints have helped me stay sane through the RR era. I've posted here occasionally, but for the most part I read this board to keep up on ND football. I have some Domer relatives that I see once or twice a year, and it makes for better conversation if I'm semi-knowledgeable.

Is Hoke the answer? If I was the Michigan AD, I'd have given RichRod another year. I don't think 3 years is fair... Bo himself wasn't a "Michigan Man" before his hiring--he became one over time, and I don't think the fans/administration ever gave RichRod a fair shot to do the same. On the other hand, the defense and special teams were so horrible and we looked so far away from beating tOSU, that I really can't complain about the switch...

I've come to believe that the LAST constituency an AD should attempt to please is the fan base. Two examples from recent SEC history--Tennessee fans loved the Lane Kiffin hire, until he screwed them. And Auburn fans cried like little girls about Chizik, then just two years later, they won (OK, bought) themselves a NC... As I recall, ND fans loved Weis at the beginning...

If Hoke does as good a job across the board as he did salvaging this year's recruiting class, then he'll be seen as a great hire.

We both come from a different age my friend, as well with others on here. And yes, times have changed - it is more "what have you done for me lately".

I guarantee you if our new leader Kelly doesn't do something HUGE in the next two or three years, he's gone - simple fact.

he should have gotten a 4 year imo as well...

it does seem that michigan now has kind of the same problem ND has had for years with defensive recruiting or lack there of. my observation is that although there are some exceptions i really think that its a mid west school problem, those types of kids want to stay in the south and west coast...
