He stayed on the field after the game in that riotous Michigan celebration to wait for Tate Forcier so he could congratulate him.

For those who slashed this guy the first two years ( including media ) take a look at the finished product now. Jim Clausen ( ain't Jimmy to me anymore ) way to go and if you ever read any of these internet deals props to you. Keep getting better, dont blink, your one hellova triggerman.

Sriously. Jimmy missed some throws early. Could of hit Tate in the endzone on the opening drive but he got hot quick. This guy has played like the #1 recruit in the country the last three games. He is no longer forcing throws, is more poised in the pocket, and seems to be in command on the field. When we had the ball i felt like good things were gonna happen. Jimmy Clausen is the truth.

Was watching gameday last night and Mark May tried to knock Jimmy and say that he was all hype and the Heisman was done. Even Rece Davis stopped him cold and said "did you watch him play?"

Jimmy is a full out stud. Some of his throws leave something to be desired. But by the time this kid leaves ND he will be a #1 pick. Clausen followed by Floyd.

Jim

You wanna hear something cool listen to Crique call the game and his passes. he calls 'em fastballs and makes the game much more enjoyable than national guys. Not Tony Roberts but better than NBC/ABC.

He has come a long way from showing up in the stretch hummer. He is a class act in my opinion. Love watching him play each Saturday, and I thought Dayne would dethrone him a year ago. Props to Jimmy.

Jimmy has played well for some time, true his first two seasons were not at all stellar, but consider the records of the team for those years. An inept running game and poor defense puts pressure on a top recruit. I don't care in you had Joe Montana, Joe Theisman, Rick Mirer, or Brady Quinn, as a starter on those teams they would not have done much better, if at all. The receivers are better and will continue to get better, Clausen will also continue to get even better. The offensive line has improved as well which bodes well for not only the passing game but the running game as well and it showed Saturday.

Remember, Brady Quinn really improved and was a much better quarterback his Junior and Senior years. Even though he is not the odds on favorite and probably a dark horse, much because of ND's record over the last two years, Clausen deserves the respect he is getting as a threat for the Heisman.

Clausen is a tremendous QB and will help your team win many games this year. I think with the loss the Hiesman watch is over but he'll be a great NFL prospect, hopefully he wont go to a Cleavland.

Heisman watch is just getting started. Clausen doesn't play defense BTW. Several sports raadio shows I listen to are all about tea-bagging Clausen and the greatest WR set ever in the history of ever.

If the rest of the year pans out in a similar fashion then it would be an absolute shame to not have him invited to NY for the Heisman party.

Jimmy is the real deal. I don't care if he wins the Heisman ... just take us to a BCS game this year and a national championship next year and I'll be happy.

There will be no NCs at this school until they hire a HeadCoach and not an offensive co-ordinator to run the program.

Well your right about this season. Next season not so much

Well I am glad you're so confident with 3 of our Oline starters graduating, and still no defense to stop the run. What would Charlie have done in a BCS game with all the marbles on the line? Does he run the ball and kill the TOs, or try to pass for the first down which was meaningless anyways, because they still had 2 TOs left.

Tenuta's defensive scheme requires experienced, talented players.

With our current roster, we cannot run his scheme effectively. He needs to change things up. We get absolutely molested when the opposing team runs up the middle, because we have no experience on the defensive line and vacating the linebackers on a blitz leaves things wide open for easy eight to twelve yard gains.

Good point...you score 34 point you expect to win. The loss isn't on the O.

Hey let's not worry about next year yet. We still have a ton of season left. Back to the original topic; Clausen really has matured and learnt from the past 2 years. He took a lot of shit locally, nationally, and just about everywhere else. The key to being a great QB is having an offensive line that can block and a running game to open up your offense; the o-line is getting better and the wheels are starting to slowly turn for our running game. Mark my word, Clausen will be better than Brady Quinn.

I personally think he is better than Quinn already. He throws the deep ball better and is more accurate on throwing the crossing routes which I hope they start using more often.

What was Tenuta's excuse when GT got lit up for 400 yards rushing against WVU in 2007?
