"Second and third hand testimony, unexplained sightings or odd lights, and nothing better than some blurry or grainy video isn't even remotely convincing in any scientific way. Show me the money. Until then, this is going to remain as serious and believable as Bigfoot and Nessie."
Wonderful quote showing impressive openness of mind, based on ...
Let me comment and then hit the ignore button:
A. Second and third hand testimony ... I have literally thousands of FIRST hand testimony to unexplained interactions in my files alone. These include two close observations by my own family.
B. Unexplained sightings (as if they have no validity to any line of analysis nor thought) ... the military has NEVER thought that these reports are of little interest to them, and if anyone's actually paying attention, they realize that the military continues to monitor and collect the data in hopes of cracking it. MANY military persons (usually in private but recorded) admit that they are very happy that these things don't show any extensive interest in meddling with us in our activities, but are leaving us to our own devices. THAT's why there is not more urgency in this --- we can't do anything about it.
C. Blurry and grainy video ... The USN videos were at the edge of what we can do and they plus the radar readings were PLENTY convincing to the pilots that these things were WAY beyond anything we could fly. NOT "close"; WAY beyond. Commander Fravor has said that over and over and so has his wing pilot (and MANY others in other incidents.) These abnormal flight characteristics described by our best observers (missile trackers, high altitude balloon trackers, test pilots, air aces, people at White Sands, Los Alamos, the southern California 1950s aero-tech labs, Skunkworks personnel --- over and over and damm-over again since the late 1940s. NO explanations. NO matching experimental technology. At least moderate your dumbass wording in commentary. If you don't want to say anything about "aliens", fine, I can handle that. What else you got --- that's REASONABLY able to handle the sighting data. --- no question mark --- you don't have anything.)
D. serious and believable as Bigfoot and Nessie --- how civilly grand of you. Just shove that comment up your capacious ass.
... and E. DgTyson has been on several tv shows where a UFO researcher was also present. He embarrassingly shows that he knows almost nothing about the field --- and it's not surprising since he admits that he's not interested in it. So, who do we take as an expert? Someone who studies the field, or someone who isn't interested? Damm, man, you are a disappointment and an insulter at the same time. Good riddance.
