They should do the strips from 40-to-40 in gold, like the field at the end of Any Given Sunday.

NDFANnSouthWest. JohnnyCANDO, (these first two are bad news, they are my first off the bus guys[the priest and the randomizer) Grahambo (is there any doubt? MF will knock peoples teeth out if they get in the way), NDdomer2 (My choice for receiving, catching the ball and being able to run far enough to actually score), Buster (big, fast, smart and from Toledo), FLDomer (this guy is a monster and has a local connection), Pachuco (the kind of guy you grab if he is available), rtrn2glory, yankeeND (two NWO guys who have the nads), Andy in Sactown (name speaks for itself), Beryirish (anyone who has a pederast as an avatar for over two years, and thrives is way tough enough and smart enough for this team), Mr. Larson and Monk McGinn (I have a gut feeling; I have high hopes for these guys). Rounding out the team would be dublinirish, because of his understanding of advanced communication skills and "an post is gá a dhéanamh." And his understanding of There are many more, too numerous to post here.

I would also pick Whiskey, Ironman, and Lax, to have enough of the moderators so they don't delete this post. Besides I am hoping between a guy with four kids under five, a young whippersnapper, and a former Lacrosse stud we will get at least a guy that can still run!

Got to fill out the top of the ranks, with OldManMike, as coach, advisor, scientist, and player a la Nate Scarborough in the Longest yard. Peoria would be team trainer, irish1958 would be the team physician of course, (we would have to keep him off the field so he could correctly relocate our parts.) And finally, we need Rack 'em and JimmyMac as team trainers and alternates to provide all of the equipment necessary to guarantee victory (mostly beer.)

TKO is skipper because I forgot. Putting him at the bridge with Buster, or FLDomer snapping to him, is just poetic justice

What about a former ND pitcher who used to bring 90 mph noise?

I think they should stop posting pics until it's finished. Then have an unveiling photo when it's completed.

On a side note: Had they not told everyone that they were putting in turf, I bet less than 10% of fans would have even noticed the difference. From that pic, it looks like the old ND field at it's best before the season begins.

A lot (in my opinion) depends on the angle of the camera and sun during the actual broadcast. Some artificial turf looks and feels like the real thing on TV, other times it comes off shiny and just "not quite right."

This looks bad to me:

I'm wondering if Swarbrick was behind the early 'in-process' photos as well. It makes it more palatable to dissenters seeing it in doses (or at least I would think). Then again, maybe they just wanted to share the progress with everyone?

By the time it's actually complete, there will be real football-y things to talk about: camp, press conferences, preparing for Rice, etc. These teases (turf and UnderArmour) are to keep the fanbase engaged with ND football during an otherwise slow time.

When it's done, you'll know the difference.

I hate to say it, but UM has the best looking field IMO. It goes well with their colors.

Based on my line counting skills, it looks like the endzones plus about 80 yards are down.

Tradition MANDATES that our Field Turf have brown spots! Harumph, fullbacks

I'm surprised they've gotten so much done. Based on that information the other day it looked like it would take a week to get sewing done alone.

The "turrible" comment was about the ridiculous hashtag they threw out there: #GriND.

TKO IS MY QUARTERBACK! SORRY!

Can you ever forgive me?

i'm honored, but at the same time confused?

Why the confusion, Kimo-sloppy?

Would have taken BigEDefense too, except he is on medical waivers. Oh, hell he can coach DEFENSE!

Bogs, I can't believe I didn't make your team as a water boy at the very least. I was All City! I scored 4 touchdowns in one game!

I was just replying to the Koon really, I understood what you were saying.

But...to be fair, aren't all hashtags ridiculous? #FuckHashtags

You did. You were a very early selection. But I thought that you just started on a project, and I couldn't afford to buy out your contract! But if you are available, that is different!

How long ago did you play in that city championship game? And what state was it in? I played in the state of confusion. I was the starting left out. Team couldn't get along without me! So I know what you mean . . .
