Interesting. They made it seem like there would be "holes" in the green surface where the numbers and hash marks would be. Is the same not true for the endzone stripes?

That's part of the conspiracy! They aren't actually putting in stripes at all, and the field will in the shape of a clover.

Seriously though, I heard the same thing. I wonder if they cut the endzone stripes out after they lay it down.

On the local high school field the five yard markers and the numbers are inserts, but the one yard hash marks are not. Also a lot of teams paint end zones, (I thought) to change the design occasionally. Is that not true?

I think they paint the end zone stripes on after the fact.

No. It's going to be already made from the factory like that. Edit: probably gonna come in physical white strips. Normally, the end zone come "ready made".

Yeah but look at the pictures. That's obviously not the case.

I thought the stripes were gold. (Or yellow) But I guess not. The turf shown above is the end zone piece, correct?

Hey, I just noticed. Talk about changing tradition, when did they move the goalpost off the goal line???? What would Rock say about that???

It's either the whole end zone or half of it. I can't scale it in my head.

So are you thinking like big white stickers?

Nah. Like strips. They gonna glue it down. I've seen a few videos on installation and that's how it works. From what I saw, no one painted the field turf.

Are you sure? I heard they would be velcro so they could be pulled up and turned the opposite way every other game.

I am thinking it is the end of the end zone. In other words, in lays right under the goalpost which would be to the end line. But I am thinking if that worker is 6' (notice I didn't say the height of Bob Diaco) that the strip looks to be about 18 feet, where the end zone is thirty feet. So it ends at the end line and is not 30 feet wide, or the whole end zone in depth.

I am thinking of a rolling surface that has a side that can be turned up for opponents, that consists of fly paper.

I like the last line, "test field". I think this is where all IE members are invited to play a game of tackle (no flag or touch you Nancy boys) and give formal approval. Dshans and bogs can be captains and pick the teams. No pouting if your picked last Koonja!

It's going to take a month roughly to lay the turf, sew the panels, install markings, etc? That's cutting it awful close

I'd be down for that.

I can't believe the amount of time it is going to take to install the turf. I believe the Patriots put theirs in during a bye week, and that was about a decade ago if memory serves.

It would have been awesome if as a joke, they rolled out a gold layer just to mess with people for a day.

Maybe not. I saw pics of Baylor's McLane Stadium laying first strips down and it was done in about 2 wks or less.

Sounds like a photo shop idea lol. You could find reasonable tickets to Mich or Stanford in a minute haha
