lol, some of the comments...
The shamrocks are unseemly.
Yeah, cause they're so large and all
It is funny to me that I actually don't think the paint job is that bad, but the part that is most important to me - the lines in the endzone - somehow got screwed up even though they kept them.
Holy crap on a cracker...I can't believe the lines in the endzone are such a sticking point for some people. They kept lines in the endzone...and yet it's STILL not enough for some people because it's not EXACTLY the way it was before...despite the fact they altered it only slightly to pay homage to the University's humble beginnings. /facepalm
Fake turf makes me thing of electronic football
Not surprised...my grandpa fondly recollects playing this old thing too back in the day.
It's trying to clothe tackiness in tradition to take away from the fact that they're in Step 2 of utterly demolishing the tradition of the stadium.
Of course. I always like to upgrade my playing surface before I spit on Leahy's grave and put in giant Jumbo-trons that Rockne would roll over in his grave over (Not really, cause Rockne was known for being an innovator, not someone who stuck to tradition).
Another guy went on a huge spiel complaining that the 18 lines and 42 degrees, symbolizing the start of the university, was just silly. Ok, maybe the reasoning is...but WHO THE FUCK CARES? They kept the lines like everyone wanted, even if they took out 1 stinking line and adjusted the alignment slightly. Seriously...it's crap like this that makes me wish they'd
paint the endzones in fairy fucking rainbows just to really piss these people off and hopefully drop them from the fan base. They're fucking lines in the end zone, and they should be happy.
