That is fine and all but his sucking up to russia and being okay with them taking over Ukraine isn't cool.

Trumps stance on russia and Biden's stance on the boarder are both a no vote from me.

I'm pretty sure Trump said what he said about Ukraine because he was on a conservative podcast and it meant Biden looked bad. One thing is fact: Ukraine was safe while Trump was president 🤷‍♂️

Maybe. Putin obviously doesn't fear Biden and didn't fear Obama. Trump boasts that he would bring an end to the war in Ukraine. No idea what his plans are, but the fact remains Putin didn't mess with Ukraine while Trump was in office.

Or we can not elect trump and have a sane Republican option.

Step 1: Run a sane moderate. Someone in the vein of Doug Burgum. Kinda boring, experienced but not ancient, safe, likeable.

Step 2: Ignore every culture war topic. Trans rights, abortion, gun control, BLM, etc. States right, states right, states right, ad nauseum.

Step 3: Run on lower taxes, lowering the national debt, reduction in foreign aid that will be put towards infrastructure, rational border security reforms, energy independence lead by nuclear.

Step 4: Win the election by 50 electors.

Step 5: ?

Step 6: Profit

I think they tried that with Romney. I think the problem with him was he had all the charisma of a board, like a copy of Al Gore. Didn't help that he was running against Obama. Today a Romney might work against ol' Joe, but until Trump is out of the way or a more charismatic contender comes along to unseat him I don't see anyone taking the GOP nomination. I'm honestly surprised he hasn't just given up at this point after all the attacks and legal hurdles, this was the guy we were told didn't really want to become President.

It's too late this cycle, but if they were motivated to remove him they should get their friends of Justice Thomas to offer him a few more vacations to make sure the Colorado ruling stands. That would unleash a wave of states taking him off their ballots and "force" the GOPs hands into giving the nomination to someone else.

I think he hasn't given up because A) he's too much of an ego maniac to go out on a loss. I mean just look at what he did after 2020. And B) I think he knows there are enough sharks in the water looking for their pound of flesh that it's only a matter of time before one of them gets something to stick. He can't defend himself once he's fallen back into obscurity and doesn't have a presidential reach.

The ballot option is sadly a pipe dream. The two states that approved it weren't voting for Trump anyway. Colorado hasn't gone red since Bush in 2004, and for Maine it hasn't happened since Bush Sr in '88. California, Oregon, Washington, and several other states have already shut it down. The only two states that are still outstanding are Massachusetts and Illinois, two that are also going to be blue anyway. Until a battleground or actual red state pulls him it's just partisan posturing. That's when Thomas could actually make a big move by pushing Trump out, if he wanted to.

That's the thing though, I doubt he'll have a lot of sharks coming his way once he's more or less out of politics. I'm sure he'll always have legal problems for his shady business practices, always has, but when he's no longer a major factor I imagine the politically charged attacks will slowly fade away. At that point he'll be little to no threat, so efforts to drag him through the mud will be pointless. The only way I see the lawsuits continuing is if they fear him backing future candidates. If the last general election is any indication, Trump backing future candidates shouldn't be a major concern either though. Seems like most of the horses he backed didn't fare too well.

A Georgia judge has issued a stay of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis' deposition in the the divorce case of her top prosecutor, amid allegations that she and prosecutor Nathan Wade were involved in an improper relationship while prosecuting the election interference case against former President Donald Trump.

On Thursday, Willis made a motion in Fulton County Superior Court seeking to quash her subpoena to testify in the Wade’s divorce case. Willis’ filing said Joycelyn Wade was attempting to undermine her investigation into Trump.

“It is regrettable that Ms. Willis has filed such an inflammatory Motion, which has left Defendant with no other choice than to respond forcefully and with supporting evidence in a case that is very personal in nature,” Friday’s filing said. “The Defendant’s sole objective is to lead a peaceful life, and her counsel is committed to ensuring she has adequate means to support herself and defend herself in this litigation. If non-party, Ms. Willis, seeks protection, it appears that the one she needs protection from is herself.

So ultimately the Ivy League educated DeSantis arrested all those black voters, put all those migrants on planes, screwed with New College, fought with Disney and rejected $346M in Federal funding to end a terrible Presidential campaign with a fake Winston Churchill quote.

Wonder which lobbying firm on K Street he's going to finish out middle age at.

What in the nonsense was this lol.

I have no idea on the dude's career plans. But he isn't responsible for arresting black people.

Florida colleges seem to be doing quite well, Disney has been brought to heel, etc.

He doesn't strike me as a lobbyist. Had he been, he would've gotten all that money that crowd threw at Haley (who has shown herself as not good at this) . Plus, he doesn't have that sort of reputation as a gladhander like a lobbyist. If he goes that route...I'd be disappointed. I think he's still eyeing 2028. He's universally liked by Republicans.

We can consolidate this to:

Step 1. Nominate Nikki Haley

It's a total layup but Trumpers gonna Trump.

Sorry but this is total fantasy.

No way Haley beats Biden. How? You think MAGA is going to vote for her? This poll is about as accurate as the one outlier that has her only losing by 2% to Trump in NH. She is going to lose by 15-20%. The poll makes no sense, there is no Republican base for RINO's these days. It's not 1990 anymore.

You guys do realize that down ticket Republicans are polling way behind Trump don't you? The reason is the base is MAGA/America First now, and MAGA simply will not vote for RINO's like Haley. I'm astonished that so many still haven't caught on to this.

Many MAGA would have their own inclination to not vote for Hailey if she was the nominee.

But we all know that Trump would burn the ship. He would demand his followers not vote in the general election out of pure spite.

This notion that Trump/MAGA is the problem with the Republicans electability is an inverted version of reality. The NH primary is all the evidence you need. MAGA/Trump/America First is the base of voters for the Republican Party. Otherwise, explain how these results are true.
  • HIGHEST EVER vote total 172,479 for a NH Presidential Primary for any political candidate topping Bernie Sanders from 2016 (152,193)
  • HIGHEST EVER percentage at 12% of the total population of New Hampshire for a NH Presidential Primary to vote for any political candidate
  • 74% of the Republican vote (Haley's vote total were propped up by Biden voters, the final results 54%-43% Trump, she is not getting those voters in a General Election)

The problem with the Republicans electability is that they cannot turn out the vote when the GOP puts up RINO establishment types, precisely because MAGA is their base and won't vote for them in large numbers. And the GOP won't back and fund MAGA candidates.

Many of you act as if the primary issue is pulling in votes from independents or cross over votes from Democrats. That is SECONDARY. First is shoring up your BASE. And herein lies the problem. The GOP refuses to embrace their MAGA base. If they would embrace the MAGA base by putting up MAGA/America First candidates, and then back those candidates with funding and grassroots turning out the vote initiatives, the Republicans electability issues would disappear and they would have the Presidency, the House and the Senate. Period.

What about the Independent vote you might ask? We don't have as big an issue with Independents as many of you think. First, turning out your base reducing the number of Indies you need. Second, when you embrace America First Candidates as the GOP, then as the GOP you intentionally tailor that America First message to suit the things Independents value as well. Instead the GOP is silent on their messaging to MAGA/America First and allows Joe Biden and company to paint MAGA as extremist nut job terrorists. Solution, GOP embrace MAGA.

The key is found in 2016 and 2020 polling on this date. A 7 point swing from when Trump won in 16' and a 8.6 point swing from 2020. This reality won't change before election day. The only significant change will take place is one of two things:

1. Trump is assassinated, which anyone who thinks this is extreme is kidding themselves. Biden/Obama's Fascist Administration has tried about everything else they can.
2. Big Mike Obama runs for Daddy to get a 4th and possible 5th terms at President (this current Admin is his 3rd term, his people filling the ranks of Biden's Admin). With hopes of closing the deal on the Communist States of America. I've heard the possibility of March or May announcements for Big Mike.
