I find it shocking that everyone has access to the same information as of now and there are posters in here who clearly can’t be bothered.
And again, we've heard you say this how many times in the past and it always turned out that you were wrong? What, 5 or 6, 15, 20? Here's the problem: you only look at or consider sources that tell you what you already believe or want to believe, no matter how outlandish or improbable. When the whole story comes out, your stone-cold lock of a conclusion always turns out to be, well, not so much.

He was in a court room to enter a plea. This is a real thing. This isn't Rachel Maddow or a Daily Beast article.

Serious question: would the Secret Service even allow him to be placed in a cell with anyone else? I realize he won't be, but if he was sentenced to some jail time, would they allow that? Their job is to protect him at all costs. Not sure they would ever, under any circumstances, allow him out of their control.

I was referring to Cack's "shock" that so many of us have access to the same info, yet don't reach the same conclusions he does. He does have a "slight" tendency to only take into consideration sources who tell him what he wants to hear. It's why he's been wrong every single time on Trump for six years.

He's probably shocked that Bobby is talking about some Bible passage in comparison to a likely satirical post. Technically, he isn't wrong since Trump did just enter a court room to enter a plea. There's no sources here, it actually happened.

No. Martha Stewart went to jail in a Country Club
edit: was going off old memory but looked it up & couldn’t find that a golf course was actually at the jail.
…. so maybe

Again, on brand.

I mean, I don't think for a second he's going to do a moment of time in jail and he'll get some fines he'll never pay, but apart from that this is all completely normal and aboutism now. We moved past being a serious society a long time ago.
He will get Mexico to pay…

That's an interesting question. Kinda fun watching the pundits all squirm right now though.

So why didn’t they go after Clinton?
Impeached? Paul Jones lawsuit? Kathleen Willey? They certainly went after him lol. Just because it didn't end the way you wanted doesn't change the fact that he didn't find himself in legal troubles.

If we're talking about Hillary....they certainly went after her.

At the end of the day, Donny brings a perfect blend of being the absolute dumbest moron to be president and a corrupt clown who has literally failed at everything he's done. The man who failed at running casino getting busted for breaking the law over a pornstar is something only he can accomplish. There's a reason he's been involved in over 4,000 lawsuits.

They didn't go after Hillary though. They had a press conference where they acknowledged what she did and said "no thanks" unless I'm misremembering which is entirely possible.

For what its worth, a liberal mentor in New York is saying what many attorneys seem to be saying. There are some major issues here, particularly with the underlying crime aspect and the statute of limitations.

Entirely plausible that the state did their due diligence there but I wouldn't give too much credit to an office with a 50% win rate under the current DA. We shall see.

Bingo

A Democrat DA ran his campaign on "going after Trump" who is in a heavily Democrat part of the country brings charges the Feds and other lower officials saw no case in. For prosecutor Bragg, Trump indictment is campaign promise kept.

And we are all supposed to sit back and believe this isn't all politically motivated weaponized legalism.

You guys are high on TDS if you think anyone with commonsense is ever going to buy your take.

This is 100% about trying to keep Trump from being reelected, hoping to turn as many people as possible away from voting for Trump, i.e. swing voters. "Trump has broken the law, he has committed a crime, you can't vote for him."

So far, it appears that is blowing up in the cheating scums faces. Trump surges to a 26-point lead over Ron DeSantis in the 2024 GOP presidential primary post-indictment: poll

Which is why I don’t think this ever goes anywhere.

Before today 76% say politics played a role in the Trump indictment. After today that numbered moved to 99%, with Cack being the lone holdout.

I'm sorry, I was told earlier this thing isn't politicized. Take your 76% elsewhere, sir!

If you think Slick willy was handled the same way, come see my bridge. Those were slaps on the wrist that were wrapped up neat and tidy behind closed doors. Taking away his license to practice law is laughable given he hadn't practiced in a while.

Clinton wasn't a self centered idiot, he made a deal which included him giving up his law license
No one is arguing the dynamics of the two. Taking away his law license was like telling him he can't eat anymore at a restaurant he hadn't dined at in the last 20 years.

For those of you who think I or anyone else is defending Trump, better go back to school for reading comprehension. What's been pointed out is 1) How this is being handled; 2) That it's political; 3) The indictments were written in such a manner that this may not hold water; 4) "This is it baby, Trump is going away" rhetoric which hasn't happened after so many claims before.

I've made it clear before that I liked what happened (economy, policy, etc.) while he was POTUS. I also made it clear that I was not a fan of how he conducted himself. I have said numerous times as others who you think are defending Trump, that I hope he goes away. Once again for the record, I didn't vote for Trump in either election.
