A police officer died you fucking moron. Pick your knuckles off the damn floor and do some research. I don't maybe that's asking too much from you.

Absolutely astunding you're going on and on about LEO being blinded (which is wrong) but don't even know LEO died.

It really is a joke, and now he’s equivocating that he DID know a police officer was murdered yesterday... but hey let’s not dwell on that because ANTIFA is worse or something. The whole thing is so ridiculous. These people are twisting themselves into pretzels to try to white wash the situation because yesterday revealed exactly what Trump hardliners are — wannabe Confederates, wannabe Nazis, and violent anti-American scum. They’re embarrassed because of how the actions of this group reflect on Trump voters as a whole.

Most Trump voters are just normal people with their own viewpoints and reasons for voting how they did. But there is the 45% of his base who supported the unlawful siege of the Capitol... which included murder of a police officer, bombs, tools to kidnap elected officials, and other weapons... and that 45% of Trump’s base are not good people. Pick your word for them, I won’t argue semantics, but they are bad people.

Well maybe if what happened yesterday lasted for you know, 8 MONTHS, then maybe thousands would have been arrested.

The country got a taste for one day from goons on the right what the country got for most of year from goons on the left.

Tell me, were any police officers permanently blinded on purpose yesterday? Were any buildings started on 🔥 with people inside and barricade so they couldn't escape?

No? Oh, ok.

Have a good link for the permanent blindness, because some claims have not been proven:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TfySEeBUAM0

Your whataboutism and false equivalencies are a joke. There is a big difference between property damage and institutional damage.

How much is a peaceful functioning of Congress worth to you? How much is the peaceful transition of power worth to you? Apparently it's far less than a summer of race riots.

Your position, if you could even call it that since all you seem to be doing is covering up the crimes of a President by saying a dangerous mob is dangerous, is an absolute joke. And since Trump's actions yesterday and last summer were both bonafide failures, it's really beyond my comprehension how someone can take your stance.

What term would you like you use for people waving the Confederate flag and wearing Nazi shirts who stormed the US Capitol and unlawfully occupied both chambers of Congress in an attempt to overthrow the government and install someone who wasn't elected as President?

“Friends, countrymen, Trollsheviks!”

I knew about him and the unarmed girl. That's awful but not on the level of purposely trying to burn people alive and purposely blinding people for life. Night after night

What happened yesterday was terrible. Let's be grateful it was one day. Glad some of you are now on board that all of this is terrible.

We've been saying it since May.

You read in the link that he said that like many in the mob "we aren't going anywhere" and someone next to him interrupts with "we are well-armed". One wonders how the thousands who are staying in hotels in the city can afford the high costs. Many, many of these groups create a tax exempt organization under IRS 501 c(3) or c(4) category. Donations are tax deductible and donors do not have to be reported.

The restriction is that they cannot engage in political activity or attempt to influence legislation.

Not only the FBI should and may well be investigating this guy's threatens to federal officials - "blood will flow" - and that "the only good Democrat is a dead Democrat" but shoulld he have formed a 503c org the IRS should be all over this, including records of donors.

It's absolutely sickening man. I have family in friends in DC/AZ/CO and they are all disgusted with this. For those who can't even fathom why a Canadian is pissed? When I travel internationally often people assume I'm American and I have to convince them that 1) I'm not American 2) People from the US aren't all maggot brained morons.

Why is this continually allowed to happen? Why are they defending fucking confederates and anti semites? Because they also like to drink liberal tears?

Whatever, at least the tax rate from the upper class is lowered and maybe the boss man will throw you a Target coupon for Christmas.

Don't forget, abortion is solved. I think? I'm always told that's what would happen if the GOP won.

You know what? That's fair. You can't comprehend why millions of people who went through what we did this year can not be as outraged as you, is part of our country's problem.

And I'm certainly part of it.

Evidently the truth may be somewhere in between. Still on life support, but may be only a matter of waiting for the family to arrive.

... when I read some of these posts, I wonder how many of the writers are half-drunk. ... I mean, how can some of these opinions continue to exist in the face of stink after stink from the executive WH person? Doesn't even the most manipulated or lie-fertilized mind ultimately say to itself: you know this guy and his crowd really ARE dangerously bad people.

Trump’s bullshit too much for even Betsy DeVos now. Second cabinet member to resign in past 24 hours among a handful of other administration officials who are disgusted by what they saw yesterday.

I think letting the CSA go back home was a mistake. Sherman should have stayed and really ended it.

While I did vote for Trump and I know many who did, I don't know one person that approved of what happened yesterday.

Part of the problem that our country is experiencing is that we are talking at each and not trying to understand each other.

Once again, what happened yesterday was terrible and really, more sad than anything. I just don't see why you are surprised. I know the US capitol is taking it to another level but what happened yesterday was the logical conclusion to what has been tolerated all year long.

A police officer may or may not have been killed yesterday. Several are injured. Do you think we don't think that's terrible? Is this death more important to the several officers who died and hundreds of officers who were injured this summer? I don't think so. It's all horrible.

I like you Lax as a poster. I like Legacy and even Toronto to a degree. Having said that, we aren't going to be shamed and bullied into saying or feeling that what happened yesterday was worst thing that's ever happened to our country.

More like how the 1960's ended with Altamont Speedway parallels the ending of the Trump Administration.

What continually allowed to happen? I think this was sorta a first....or first in some considerable amount of time.

I think some Puerto Rican Nationalists shot up the Capitol in the 50's or 60's but not entirely sure.

Also not clear on the anti-semitism? Thats a larger problem than one within a specific political wing. Jews get beaten or assaulted fairly often in NY, not exactly MAGA country in Brooklyn and Queens.

Most Trump supporters moved on once it was evident that he lost. I didn't even post for about a month in this thread once he lost. I didn't watch his speech in DC most of us have moved on .

We can't wait for him to just leave office at this point.

Where is the thread for the entire summer season of rioting, pillaging, burning, and killing when the entire democratic party went silent and even opened up funding to free domestic terrorists?

Or is this a left wing only site? I'm genuinely asking.

And of course yesterday was disgusting and whoever broke in ans terrorized should be sentenced to the fullest.

So where's that thread, or?

I would not call IE a left wing site by any stretch. Not a shortage of folks on the right side of the spectrum.

..do you own a google machine? Or maybe turn to your Alexa and say "Hey Alexa did some Puerto Ricans shoot up the Capitol in the 50s and 60s?"

I post mostly from my phone. Not willing to open a new tab. They mentioned it on the news yesterday,, wasn't gonna go throw the work of looking up the exact date. What a weird complaint though. And Alexa creeps me out. I unplug the thing when my parents are not home.

I just have a thing against sloppy statements. The shooting was in 1954, they served 25ish years in prison. I don't have an Alexa either for the record.

Now, imagine if the governor of Puerto Rico held a rally on the National Mall because Congress was going to pass something that removed him from office....and he then directed his followers to "be strong" and "take our country back" and proclaim the workings of Congress were fraudulent, weak, and crooked and that they should march to the Capitol and that he would be walking to the Capitol with them...

...would that guy deserve a prison sentence too?

Yeah, yesterday should have never happened. Neither should the summer riots have happened while leaders on the left encouraged it all or remained silent. Extremists on both sides need to be Thanos snapped away.

Most of us were done with this election once the outcome was no longer in doubt. Do I think something hinky may have happened behind closed doors? Possibly, but it'll never be proven so there's no use fighting it. I do know that the honest man has nothing to hide, while the liar deters you whenever possible. Fighting against transparency in the election process, voter registration/id, fighting the recount, you would think if they had nothing to hide these wouldn't be a problem.

Alexa, whats the definition of Seditious Conspiracy?

"If two or more persons in any State or Territory, or in any place subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, conspire to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States, or to levy war against them, or to oppose by force the authority thereof, or by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States, or by force to seize, take, or possess any property of the United States contrary to the authority thereof, they shall each be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both."

(June 25, 1948, ch. 645, 62 Stat. 808; July 24, 1956, ch. 678, § 1, 70 Stat. 623; Pub. L. 103–322, title XXXIII, § 330016(1)(N), Sept. 13, 1994, 108 Stat. 2148.)

You’re just on the wrong side of this, man. And it’s unfortunate. It’s gotta be hard, I give you credit, always having to double down and carry on the big lie. But I mean, I don’t really care much for your attitude and all that, I’m not going to lie, but I do hope you come to a realization one day that you’re on the wrong side of al this stuff. That 5,000 lb gorilla off your shoulders of always having to rationalize and find excuses and come up with whataboutisms will just go away and it will feel amazing. Read the book On Tyranny by Michael Snyder.
