I assume its because anyone can find his email address very easily. I think he is listed in the OSU directory as are every other coach at the school.

OSU released Tressle's e-mails with an official press release on info they provided to the NCAA. In the first full paragraph on the second page of the letter OSU sent to the NCAA it notes that while reviewing another legal issue, OSU "discovered an e-mail from Coach Tressel ...".

Was there another article that mentioned a "leak"?

I missed it. Well done bert! It's in the same sentence with the game supension and salary reduction (which I missed as well after reading about a $250K fine.

Now will he still be recruiting, in any capacity? I didn't see any mention of that. He hasn't been suspended as Head Coach just from two games and spring practices and summer camps. Look for OSU to schedule NO Official Visits for the first two games possibly until all the player suspensions are over as well. Tressel and those players can then recruit at full strength.

That isn't true. It was a mistake on OSU's part. Gordon is the OSU beat writer for the Columbus Dispatch.
