Yeah the names we see as ND fans are certainly guys that will find a home and mostly seeking better places. But when looking at raw data, there are a ton of those kids that

A) aren’t being asked to return/forced out

or

b) can’t academically return (grad school, just normal standing)

It’s not all kids just thinking I deserve better.

To be fair Adams never even saw the field in college, took a medical in the spring of freshman year, and then tried to grad transfer three years later. But this is quite a story about him. Sounds like he was basically done before he got out of high school.

Extreme cases like that aside, it feels like our outbound transfers almost always land someplace. There must be a few who haven't but I can't recall any. That said, they're starting fairly high up on the food chain.

We have a few options at guard next season already on the roster. Kristofic has started eight or nine games, Rocco is a junior, there are guys like Coogan & Schrauth, who from reports, are viewed highly by the staff. There are also some outside guys like Caleb Johnson, Ty Chan & Michael Carmody that can compete for interior positions, as well. There could be some guys leaving, sure, but right now ND has plenty of guys and talent on the current roster that can play.
