Do you always take any chance you can get to overreact and bring up some weird piece on ND history?
. I'm at peace as to why the Football Program won't win a Natty again. Just calling out the reasoning behind it. Just want to point it out to all of the knuckleheads that rip on coaches for leaving. ND is a stepping stone in the coaching ladder. Assistants to OSU for a lateral move. Kelly to LSU, Rees to Bama it looks like. It's the ultimate White Flag from the coaches. They say a Championship can be won here but their actions prove otherwise.
Overreaction? Lets watch the dominoes fall
Will Hartman stay?
Will CJ Carr sign?
What offensive recruits will transfer?

If he goes, he goes. That's college coaching. We will find someone else equally as capable.

More I look at things, why would he leave for Bama after saying no to LSU last year? I mean he had to have gotten a similar offer financially to go to LSU right? Is it simply cuz it's Bama and he'd win a Natty within a 3-5 year window no problem? Maybe I guess.

IIRC, Mullen was constantly bashing ND on TV. He seems to hate ND, which is fine the dude's a douchebag.

Seem pretty angry at the BOT for being at peace...

It's felt like he wants to get to the NFL quickly, so where gives him the best chance to do that? NDs offense is primed to be truly excellent this year. Obviously bama has plenty of talent but if he's trying to get to the NFL asap and needs a one year audition, why leave Hartman for a qb competition at Bama? Does he just think ND straight up can't run the offense he wants to? If it's money I'm sure he can get a Raise here as long as he doesn't go full Elko.

They pushed back the player interviews, that were scheduled for tomorrow, to next week. Yeah this seems over.

He has mentioned several times that he still communicates with BK... maybe BK finally sold him on the perks of being at an SEC football factory, and inadvertently helped LSU's biggest rival in the process lol

It's because of Saban and the fact he could put Rees into the NFL within a year or 2. LSU was/is a rebuild.

Mullen is a former Davie assistant and he was also a lieutenant to another former Davie assistant in Florida, Lord Fingertickle. A lot of those guys from back then still have a hard on for ND and are not going to bury the hatchet.

He has been paid SEC head coaching money. He's not going to come to ND to be an offensive coordinator.

People just need to fuck off about it and move on. It isn't happening.

Saban? I don’t think it’s that complicated. His coaching tree is absurd.

But like I said, timing matters.

If Tommy was looking to make the jump 3-4 years down the line, then sure.

But I can see Tommy realistically trying to make the jump to either a head coach or NFL OC as early as next year.

In that case, why go to Bama? They're starting completely new on offense, with very little proven production and a new QB.

ND has Sam Hartman and a lot of talent returning on offense. It's an offense that can make him a massive commodity in '24.
ND odds to win the College Football Title next year...courtesy of Draft Kings +2500 (11th behind Texas)
Bama is +500...second to Georgia.
I know gambling isn't everything, but it's as close to an unbiased third party we can find.

Alabama is a machine, and no matter who is playing Quarterback for them next year they will likely average over 30 points a game...and Tommy will be introduced to an entire new audience in the SEC if he is able to prove himself at the biggest program in the country.

I hope he stays, but if I were advising him I would probably tell him to go. Especially if it comes with a pay raise.
