I don't think it's that, because I wouldn't constitute Buchner as having a "noodle" arm. Neither did Jurkovec. Angeli's arm isn't a cannon, but it's definitely not a "noodle" arm either.Honestly at this point I think Tommy either has an ego issue, where he thinks because he played with a Noodle arm that his QBs should have one too. Or he’s just an emasculated man who refuses to have a QB with superior arm strength to him, which limits it to players who can only throw the ball 17 yards.
We got 3 QBs where the only way they could get the ball 40 yards downfield would be if they stood 15 yard apart and relayed it there.
This would make sense if someone was looking to get fired, but most coaches are looking to keep their jobs. I don't think any of these statements is true given that reality. The guy loves ND, otherwise he would have left for any of the other opportunities in the off-season.Honestly at this point I think Tommy either has an ego issue, where he thinks because he played with a Noodle arm that his QBs should have one too. Very true, you need an identity. Consistently changing things from season to season would certainly keep opposing defenses guessing thoughYou need to have an identity, and recruit to best serve said identity. Flexibility is fine, but having to consistently change things from season to season is only going to hinder progress and make his job that much harder.
But in all seriousness, pick a direction and recruit for that offense.Emerging what? You need to learn how to control your emotions. If you took the time to read, you'd see that I'm questioning Tommy. But answer me this all mighty one. How many new coaches have been fired in their first year going 0-2? Don't throw the 0-3 at me because anyone with any sense knows the Fiesta doesn't count due to the demands on Freeman's time as he was getting settled in. Surprised you haven't called for Jenkins head. They they are, emerging on the Serengeti. They are know on the plains as the watecarrier tribe. They easily fall for the newest thing amd cling on to it no matter the evidence.
Add it to the list of questions we would all love answers to...Chris Tyree not getting more touches is a fireable offense on its own. He should never come off the field - whether he's in the backfield or in the slot.
100%.They likely need to retool the entire offensive staff this off-season baring miraculous turnaround with Angeli. But the idea that a true frosh is going to come in and light it up with this OL seems far fetched.
100%.
But all the offensive geniuses on message boards and Twitter would be able to put up 40 points a game regardless.
Do you know how many points I would score with TB as my QB!!!Listen, if I can score 70 ppg on Heisman settings (with sliders too, so don't @ me) on NCAA14 while running nothing but read options and four verts, there's no reason Tommy can't cook some shit up in real life. It's not rocket science.
Rees goes ... "What's a RB screen pass? Do we such a thing in our playbook"?Idk what happened after the spring game, but the page of the playbook that has all the RB screen passes that were awesome against OK St and in the spring game must have disappeared.
I see a lot of people online talking about screen passes. It seems to be the go to solution for 7 out of 10 people.Rees goes ... "What's a RB screen pass? Do we such a thing in our playbook"?
The majority of casual football fans 1) understand screen passes and 2) hear commentators talk about them. It's a way of sounding smart.I see a lot of people online talking about screen passes. It seems to be the go to solution for 7 out of 10 people.

Was refreshing, but to be fair I found it interesting how, in the same breath, he dogged Foskey for getting in teammates' faces on the sidelines.I listened to the Mike Goolsby podcast and loved how he put a lot of the blame on the players and emphasized that they need to hold each other accountable. I also liked how he was puzzled watching other college games and gave the example of Ga St vs Nebraska and how their QB was slinging the rock around and the offense was moving the football. It is my opinion that we don’t need a gadget offense but something that fits the players we are recruiting would be key. I don’t think Rees has the ability to call plays that matches who is in the locker room. Rees also has a poor track record in the QB development department.
To be fair, it does seem a logical counter to an overly aggressive defense.I see a lot of people online talking about screen passes. It seems to be the go to solution for 7 out of 10 people.

How do you keep a constantly blitzing defense honest? You run a RB screen. It's not science. ND ran a bunch of them against OK State and in the spring game successfully. Have you seen one yet this year? I am not asking for them to run a dozen of them. Just one or two here and there. I have not called for Rees' head once so this isn't an anti-Rees post.
I think the issue with Foskey is that he's getting in people's faces while also not doing his job on the field. Can't be a leader if you aren't producing yourself. Was refreshing, but to be fair I found it interesting how, in the same breath, he dogged Foskey for getting in teammates' faces on the sidelines.
He dogged him because Foskey did that after the defense gave up that long drive. He was saying the time for that was past, and Foskey was a no show when it counted. Was refreshing, but to be fair I found it interesting how, in the same breath, he dogged Foskey for getting in teammates' faces on the sidelines.

Foskey had 5 tackles (3 solo), 1 sack and 1 TFL against Marshall. Maybe not the level of domination we'd hoped to see, but that's certainly not a "no show" stat line.He dogged him because Foskey did that after the defense gave up that long drive. SmokeBubble or Tunnel ?
And we wonder why Moores dad didnt trust this offense or these offensive coaches.
They have no running game. They can't throw the ball downfield. How do you keep a constantly blitzing defense honest? You run a RB screen. It's not science. Also, just because it's the solution of 7 out of 10 people doesn't mean it's wrong. Sometimes the obvious answer is the right answer.
