Holy cow Ishaq looks tall for a LB

Yeah, I'm really intrigued to see him drop into coverage. I'm pretty sure he has the size/speed combo to basically cover any TE (once he gets the technique) as well as the ability to put his hand in the ground and sack QBs. It's going to be awesome watching a seamless transition from Fleming to Ishaq... and let's not forget we have guys like Rabasa, Councell, etc. coming in the fall. We could be scary good at LB for years to come if these players reach their potential.

Don't write in Shembo yet. Spond will be starting by the first game! Spond is the real deal.

Like he said. SPOND IS A FUTURE AA!

Have the last 15 years taught you nothing? Let's see him play before we go heralding players the next greats.

But what I should have said before was Te'o, Calabrese, Fleming, Shembo/Spond.

For what it's worth, interviewing is way harder than it looks. But totally agree that a pro should look a little more... pro.

I agree its probably not as easy as it looks...but I'm damn sure I could do a better job than that.
And the video file itself pops up and is named kelly040411.mov like seriously?!

I really think that tj jones is going to blow up this year. And i love the fact that Quarterbacks finally fully understand the system they are running. This team is going to be scary this season

Okay, okay, okay, I gotta jump in here. Brian Bennett was so nervous, that he made Brian Kelly nervous, and you don't see that often -- Same kind of deal with the Charlie Molnar interview. But why do you have to point it out, does it give you some misguided sense of security or well-being? The guy was trying. Anybody that needs to treat sincerity and effort with distain and ridicule, well . . . . what a choade!

hmmmm are you a troll?
I'm pointing it cause its frikin ESPN, not some low class channel. ESPN is apart of the ABC family including Disney, a multi billion dollar company and they get some nerd/dweeb to interview the head coach a major university is just plan pathetic and lame.
There was nothing sincere or effort on his part. It doesn't take that much to ask questions...like I said, I could do a much better job.
If you don't like discussing things....don't go on a forum. doh!

Just because you disagree doesn't mean it's not a discussion.

Yeah, you got me man. I am a troll. How did you figure it out???

What I am is a guy that has always put honor and my word before anything else. And a guy who has made more than his share of mistakes but has always has tried to practice the Golden Rule. I have always tried to treat people the way I wanted to be treated. (Except, of course if they had a gun in their hand and were trying to kill me.)

I always have loved Notre Dame, ever since I met Ara Parseghian as a young boy. I loved the Marine Corps, spent time in the latter, and I never attended the former. I have excelled in games in my youth, done my duty, been shot at, and shot back. I have a family and have raised or am raising seven children; all are turning out just fine, some are rather accomplished. All of them are superior to where I was at when I was their age. I volunteer all the extra time I can find to help MR/DD individuals, and have a full and wonderful life. For Easter and Thanksgiving, I cook for the poor and homeless. I have done well enough that I could retire, fifteen years before I am eligible, but I choose to work; So that's who I am.

You say “discuss.” I didn't hear one statement you made in manner where open discussion was invited. I just heard personal criticism laced with superiority and contempt, got a whiff of entitlement, now who are you and what have you done?

Oh yeah, and I'll never retire at this pace, considering the volatility of stocks, corporate companies raiding pensions, and the fact the baby boomers will, more than likely, be the last to fully enjoy social security at the rate for which they've paid (although you'd have to live to be 150 years of age to get your money back.)

Two daughters will ensure my 50's and 60's see my bank account(s) (<---positive thoughts) stretched.

Life is good...

Sorry I assumed you were a troll. I read a different post of yours that seemed unnecessarily aggressive but I probably misread it.

I honestly have no idea why that whole post was necessary. I never insulted you and I surely didn't mean to come of as superior or entitlement...though entitlement to what, I know not. When I said I could do a much better job... that totally sounded arrogant and I apologize. That wasn't my intent, someone else posted about his previous interview that they're one year old daughter could do a better job.
I don't know that I could do a better job, as I never have interviewed anyone but I just don't think it takes that much to ask questions in a normal way.
My beef was with ESPN...I thought that came off pretty clear. If the guy can't interview he can't interview, but why does he have a job at ESPN?

To go through a whole list of your life accomplishments (which to me, comes off as arrogant and boastful) when I was talking about a company..honestly I don't see how it relates.
You met Ara?! Damn thats awesome! Seven kids is incredible. I have 5 brothers an sisters so I have an idea on what thats like.
I don't really care to go through a whole list of what I have done as I don't see the point or for what reason, and I dislike boasting about myself.
If you really want me to, PM me and I shall... or if you want me to post it here, I can.

Its not like I said "please discuss" but being in a forum I figured...if it interests you discuss if not, don't.

Btw I never called him choade. that was someone else.

cheers

Thanks Iron.
Didn't really say anything different..just what we've already heard.
That Brian Bennett, the reporter, is such a moron. He looks so clueless and insecure...its sad. But I guess thats ESPN for ya.
He doesn't even ask about Floyd.

He reminds me of Chris Farley from the "Chris Farley Show" skits on SNL.
