This week, Tiger is next to last in Fairways Hit, forty-something in Greens in Regulation. He is not nailing it. On that course, a couple of double-crosses can take you out.

I golf 2-3 times a week when the weather permits and I'd have to agree with whoever said earlier that it isn't a sport.
It's a game.

That being said, I love Tiger Woods.
His "problem" was disappointing, but I never stopped rooting for him.
I actually DVR every round he plays and then fast forward to watch only his and the leader's shots.

Watching golf sucks without him although I'm warming up to Rory.
As for the PGA after Tiger, it's going to be better than most think.
Tens of millions of kids got into golf because of him and we'll start seeing some of them arriving soon (probably have already started).

I can't stand Rory. Ever since he left the tournament due to a "tooth ache", I consider one of the biggest pussies in all of sports. C'mon man, you're not 12

He does have a responsibility to the fans that showed up, but he's a kid.

Truth be told, I root for him because he's Irish.

Although being from Northern Ireland, he might consider himself British.
I once worked for a man from Belfast and he thought of himself as British.
My family is from Limerick.

Rory, Phil, you can name them all. But only one man moves the needle. And his name is Tiger. I think he's got one more good run in him of 3-5 years. Then, he rides off into the sunset. Not sure we will see him on the Senior Circuit. He may play some, but I will miss him when he's gone. Just glad to say I saw Jack win the 87 Masters as one of the greatest who played the game, and then saw Tiger in his prime. Those two stand alone.

I saw a stat yesterday that amazed me. Through 15 rounds this year he had 6 eagles. Over all of last year he only had 4 eagles. Tiger is getting his groove back, especially with the putter.

In terms of the PGA after Tiger, I have to agree with what someone else mentioned that his influence on the younger generations will keep the PGA popular, and his influence is bringing a lot of young golfers out, which, vis a vis is leading to more young golfers to come out.

BOOM! Just got back from Vegas this morning and was happy to land seeing Tiger win his 8th tournament. Hell, even taking Tiger at 3:2 odds was a good bet, against the field!

To those ragging Rory for leaving with a toothache: I get it, and it upset me too. But let's not think that Tiger leaving the Players Championship two years ago with a "neck" injury after he shot a 42 on the front nine was serious. Tiger has most likely done the same thing Rory did, just didn't get honest about it.

I don't really care about the Rory thing. He wears his heart on his sleeve. Tiger, when his best, is on a different level than anyone else.

On to the Masters.

Looks legit, just impeccable timing given the day. Man, at 38 Tiger is falling apart between his knees and back. Of course, I don't have much room to talk. I'm 32 and I've had two back surgeries.

Apparently he had a microdiscectomy performed which will keep out of action for roughly 2 months.
