I think they are making a summer series out of this. Kinda like the "Make A Wish" series. But yeah, this stuff makes me tear up every time
I cannot watch this stuff. There is somethign wrong with my eyes and the computer screen or something...allergies....
If anybody can watch this without tearing up, then they simply don't have a soul.

Reminds me of how my mom reacted when I showed up on leave from AF. She had no idea I was going to be there and just about tackled me when she saw me.![]()
For those of you who have never had the opportunity to come home from a six month peacetime deployment, let alone a 12+ month combat deployment, and see your loved ones waiting there for you... I'm sorry. I'm sorry that you have missed out on one of the most incredible, indescribable feelings that one can encounter in their life. I'm not married, nor do I have kids, so I can only imagine the emotions that those events evoke; but nothing I had experienced before, or since, can compare to seeing the look on my (then) girlfriend's, and her son's, faces when I got off of the plane.
Thanks Terry.
Very powerful stuff. Leave it to ESPN to make the video about Lebron at the end and not the soldiers and their families.
I hadn't seen my parents for about a year. Got a series of last minute flights, even had to sprint from one end of E to the other of F at O'Hare. Got a ride with my sea bag from the airport. Walked up to the side door and rang the bell. Mom answered, she said, "Hello?" Didn't even recognize me! I can relate. She went nuts!
Happy Independence Day, everyone!
