Na, fuck that. Big 12 most years is weaker than the ACC. Since Oklahoma and Texas left the Big 12 their most recent national champion was new member BYU and that was 1984! Big 12 won the head to head games against the ACC this year, but the "top" of the ACC would normally take it to the top of the "Big" 12 most years I think. Texas Tech may be a new outlier, will be interesting to see if they hold up against the truly elite in the playoff.Frankly, you don't go to the big ten. You go to the big 12 and start talking about a deal, then have Bevaqua hit up his buddies at NBC and CBS talking about how terrible the big ten deal is turning out for them with Fox getting all the good games and have them put the pressure on the big ten to get an ND deal so they get a few more decent games a year.
No, B1G or SEC is the way to go if we get forced into a conference. B1G is preferable, regularly playing a bunch of games in the South from Aug-early October could be hard from a heat perspective on our guys when they're not in that climate regularly. B1G/SEC are getting 4-5 teams in a year. Big 12 and ACC are getting one and that's about it any given year. Easier path going Big 12? Probably, but the money isn't there and the games would suck.
