I never said that they were better than Raiders, just that they deserved a discussion. My biggest issue is your "like transformers but with better writing" bit. That's a HUGE compliment to Transformers. Transformers is a piece of sh*t. It has no substance, the character design is a mess, it is tonally pendulous (going from "Black Hawk Down" serious with marines dying left and right, to "American Pie" stupid, with robots humping things; and back all within the same two minute scene.) On top of it all, the action is terrible in all Transformer movies, where the audience often has no idea who is fighting, who is winning, or where anything is (you do get to see a lot of Michael Bay staples though: LENS FLARES, LENS FLARES, HOMOEROTIC MILITARY FETISHISM!!!!!) So it even fails as a dumb action movie.
There are many reasons that I could write that TDK is a masterpiece, but I feel that I would just be wasting my time and yours, as there are many amazing people on the internet that have already talked about why that movie is so well done on so many levels. DKR didn't live up to the greatness of TDK to me, but that's a high bar. At worst, it provided a well made ending to a great trilogy that changed the way that superhero movies are thought of.
