Angels need another starter and Dallas K is just sitting there... really hoping they make one last move soon. If they can just stay healthy and add one good starter they'd have a chance. We shall see.

Sucks that they and the Pirates both went through the down years... got good for a couple years and fell right back down shortly after. Would have been good for both to stay competitive for a while longer.

NL East should be fun this year. I think my braves missed out on a true ace, catcher and bullpen arms. I think they’ll be good again this year just not sure if they improved much from last year.

I live in in the eastern shore of Maryland so I get to watch a ton of O’s baseball. Although for their fans this might be a rough season should be good to see and learn about the young guys.

Looks like the Tigers are shutting down Michael Fulmer for the year. Wish they would have traded him two years ago when he was in the running for rookie of the year and could have jump-started this master rebuild with a slew of high-quality prospects for him.

Now, he struggled through an injury laden season in 2018, and won't even take the mound in '19.

Obviously this is at the pinnacle, but you're right. These contracts are crazy. Heard some commentator say this will set him for life. I laughed when he said that. $5M-$10M will set you for life. He's already made enough to set him up for life. $400+M will set you up for your life, your kids life, your grandkids life and your great grandkids life! You could also throw in a few cousins.

I actually liked Brad Ausmus when he was with the Tigers, so I will pull for the LAA a little bit. I think he got a bad wrap due to the urgency to win with an aging roster. He had too many guys past their prime. The Tigers slowly digressed every year since their WS appearance in 2012, and they got burned on the massive Prince Fielder contract. One Mike Illitch passed, his son is way less urgent to win now, hence our rebuild. Brad A took the rap, unfairly, on a lot of the issues.

My money is on you guys to repeat. Stacked lineup and the best starting rotation in the AL. I've said in this thread before but it's worth repeating: I miss the hell out of JD Martinez. He was my boy in Det.
