That really sucks. His coming back ended up being a terrible decision.

Everyone said it was at the time too, so we don’t even need hindsight. He had minimal ability to improve his stock, and he had been over-worked/injured the year before. From a financial standpoint he likely cost himself millions.

Stanford OL will continue to be crap though, likely he'd play behind a worse line in 2019 than 2018 if he stayed

He'll be pursuing that medical degree sooner than later. I admired his toughness and willingness to get out there and compete, but I felt Stanford did him a real disservice. He needed to heal.

No, I'm saying he made a mistake by coming back for the '18 season instead of leaving in '17.

This is pretty interesting because here Biggins is talking about a "very good" Stanford class (20th) while the Irish247 board has been in meltdown mode for a month on how ND (14th) isn't good enough.

Because we have bigger goals.

Very true that it's all about perspective. However, we also need some perspective on the fact that we had a top 5 defense nationally without a single 5 star player on it.

This time of year 5 stars are sure fire guaranteed difference makers and everyone else is a solid addition. Rinse and repeat.

If both schools continue down the same recruiting path that they're on, more 38-17 ass whoopings will be in the near future.

Let me guess, he gave Dabo some supplement ideas that Stanford uses themselves?

It's fun to speculate:

1. They reviewed their totally *legal* supplement regimen and determined that there was too much Ostarine present, and didn't want to get toasted by the NCAA after seeing how dumb Clemson looks.

2. He is getting a warning for not keeping the football program on the cutting edge of totally *legal* restorative/preventative supplements and other dietary measures

3. The roids just aren't working anymore, so they want to go in a new direction, and they're trying to drive the guy out

Or somebody got pissed, ratted them out and Stanford is trying to get ahead of the NCAA.

FWIW I had heard that since Harbaugh left it was worlds different in terms of institutionalized juicing, so I'd be shocked if it was related to that or had to do with someone "ratting." Time will tell though, and I'm definitely getting the popcorn ready...

Turley’s conditioning initiatives in the Stanford football program have dramatically reduced player injury rates. From 2006-2013, there was an 87 percent decrease in the number of games missed because of injury on Stanford’s roster. Turley joined the football program in 2007

then last year he was promoted to oversee the entire sports dept at stanford....maybe the women's golf team wasn't down with doping??
