I mean...that's steep and I don't even go to the games. I think a $9-12 beer makes sense so to limit people over drinking at the game. But some beer is better than none.
Ideal beer price is $9. People paying cash will tip $1. $20 gets you two. Keeps the line moving. People paying card will either not tip or hit 15% or 20%. Goal is to keep the lines moving. Two beer limit but give three if someone looks like an adult - that third beer is for a friend or spouse).

I swear to God I'm going to lose my shit if they try doing Guiness draft beers. Just wasting time and space that should be devoted to 16/24 oz cans of cold domestics.

Notre Dame should've hired me for the low cost of free beer at my biennial pilgrimages to Sound Bend for my very high end advice.

Does Notre Dame still take cash? Every stadium I’ve been to the last few years only take cards now,

No way you’re getting cash payment at any stadium or attraction today

Why the hell should I tip someone for giving concessions to me? It annoys me when my coffee shop asks me for a tip. I’m not giving someone extra money for pouring milk and coffee when that’s their basic job.

I was at the Dome for a Saints game a couple of years ago. Long story short, my wife had my wallet with her in her clear purse thing. I didn't realize this, however, while I was standing in line to get a Bloody Mary. I order the bloody and realized I didn't have my wallet, but I did have a $20.00 in my pocket. I told the kid/cashier handing me the Bloody Mary that and he said, "$20.00 it is, boss man" while handing me the bloody and then pocketing the $20.00.

The same reason you probably tip bartenders for getting you a drink.

At a stadium, I’ll probably only tip for drinks if it’s from a guy walking up and down the stands or it’s a cocktail or draft beer. I’m not tipping for a canned beer from a concession stand or a guy sitting in the concourse with a cooler

I hope the sale of alcohol in the stadium will be accompanied by the reemergence of Tim McCarthy’s recorded quips
While I miss that, I think it was a very well done off ramp from his Final season to a year or two of recorded Tim McCarthy clips then going away. Not sure they could bring it back without it feeling forced

Had a similar experience at Soldier Field last year. 2 cans of beer from the self-seve and aelf-scan area. Staff member tells me "I can let you have those for $15 cash." Takes the $15, puts it in his pocket, nothing ever entered the system.

Change my mind: ND fans chanting “we’re not Penn state” during kernkraft is annoying. Just don’t acknowledge Penn state lol
