Off topic, but when talking about golf, people should also look into Izod. Super underrated and very well priced for golf pants/shorts and polos. Very comfortable as well.

Anyway, I don't really like much from Nike anymore, especially with Golf apparel. It just seems to fit weird anymore, and nothing is great design-wise for the price. Adidas is not bad, but I find UA to be well priced (especially at the outlet obviously), comfortable, and I like their designs.

I liked the tone of the pants for the BC game, but I don't mind the pants we normally wear. The hill that I will die on however is the white socks with the home uni. That is an absolute must, black or navy blue doesn't cut it for me.

you can't wear those shiny pants unless you change the helmets back also. the new helmets have to go with the mustardy pants

In 2017 they changed companies that does the painting. It was a different process. That is why we saw paint chips flying off helmets for the first time. It was a major issue and the process had to be tweeked. Not sure if you noticed, but there was a lot less splotchy white/gold helmets last year. This new paint was much "brighter". Pretty sure I read it was for branding purpose, made them stand out even more. This last part I am only 50% on.

I was wondering if maybe the new lights played a factor. Idk though the helmets don’t look great to me in the Va Tech game either but I was at that game and can’t remember having an issue in person.

Yeah I do, but that's one of the funniest things about ND fans IMO. How little the uniform changes but as a fan base we can never agree. I can certainly understand why you like the '12 helmets better. I just think being there in person, the new helmets really pop.

I've personally enjoyed the Shamrock Series uniforms, generally speaking. Certainly some have been better than others but I know the kids enjoy it so that's all that really matter IMO.

Then you have the traditionalists who don't want anything to change on the uniform one way or the other. Which I understand as well. Tradition is a big part of ND lore.

As long as they keep them consistent 90% of the time, with the occasional Shamrock Series and green jersey game, I'm happy.

This what I don't understand, it is ND tradition to change its jersey. They invented the alt jersey by going green. What other school is so widely known for a color that's not their school color???

I definitely don't have anything against doing the shamrock series unis or a green jersey, I actually think there is a ton of cool things they could do with throwback unis. My only beef was I think when the first "new" helmets came out they knocked it out of the park. now I just thing they look way to yellow gold. Like fake gold you would find on some $15 dollar necklace

Just watched a 'Lou Holtz on Leadership' youtube video where he said when he was offered the job they told him a few things were none negotiable at ND:
1. we don't red shirt
2. we don't take a transfer...
3. We don't have good facilities and we wont improve them because we don't want to be known as a football factory.

Is that last one a thing of the passed like the others. Surely that isn't even a sign of a football factory these days. ND should aim to have the best facilities in the countries.

Not sure if anyone noticed, I’m a stickler for it I know. But the new Schutt F7 helmets are a darker shade of “gold” then the riddell helmets last week vs Duke. I just really cannot understand how they can’t get that right at least. Same thing happened in 2018 with the Vicis helmets.
