Unpopular opinion: The pregame song selections shouldn't be based on what the players want. They should already be locked in and not effected by the music being played. This game is about entertaining fans. It's literally an impossible task to appeal to everyone. So the people in charge need to look at the demographics and make decisions based on what appeals to the most amount of people. This is Notre Dame. The people there are pretty smart. I trust that is exactly what they are doing.

I see the logic in this, but at the same time players have often been vocal about crowd noise and feeding off it. I would personally want them to play whatever gets most people off their asses and loud, whether it was Ozzy or Taylor Swift...okay, maybe not Swift.

Something uniquely Irish would be fun as a crowd sing-a-long, not necessarily to pump people up. 4th Quarter Wild Rover or something. Or embrace the Euro futbol vibe with the chants. You don't see that anywhere else in college football.
