Wow! Great to see another of us "old timers" on the board! I think you're return blesses us with some good luck for this weekend. If not......you'll be joining Neutered and NDOM in NDinLA's sub-flooring.

I gather you don't read much of what's posted anymore, like in this thread. NDOM isn't in the Village of the Banned. He logged on 4 days ago.

And for the record neutered earned mutliple bans from a number of moderators, including the Administrator. The powers that be gave him multiple opportunities. If you've got a beef, take it Jason Pham.

Welcome back, Quinn

Ahhh, yet another song penned by Robert Zimmerman (Bob Dylan) that hit the airwaves when performed by another. Here's a song to express my feelings about your return:

Enjoy your time with your son. It's a lifetime of joy interrupted by brief periods of loving concern and terror.

Thanks everyone! Glad to be back. I'm hoping for good luck this weekend as well. If I prove to not be a good luck charm, I'll self-ban myself for the good of the team!

"If it wasn't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all." Luck can be fickle. Loyalty and posting your *** off is a constant.

Don't know about the rest, but I believe Jason is still here, NDOM and Neutered got banned enough that they just left. I think Neutered may have even actually earned a liftime ban... not sure.

Just emailed back and forth with Neutered the other day. I begged him to come back. He seems to be doing better. Has been working a lot. Hasn't had a computer hooked up to the internet for his own use for some time. He didn't say no about coming back . . . He is still the man.

And, by the way Quinntastic, Dia duit! Conas tá; tú?

It's not his choice. He was given a lifetime ban by the admin for a repetitive (and believe me, it was repetitive) loss of control. It was a call backed by multiple mods, myself included, and I like Neut.

Really do hope he is doing better because he was beloved here by many.

I don't know how someone could do something so horrendous to deserve a lifetime ban. His biggest mistakes were all directed at mods, not the rest of the board. So while I understand all of the mods banning him, I think completely shutting him out for eternity is a bit harsh. If he apologized to you guys, got limited access and worked to prove that he could contain himself, then I don't see why a guy can't earn back his seat at the table. Especially if it a year or two removed from his banning.

If he were some goon troll, then I could see why it wouldn't be worth the energy. But the deer was one of, if not the most, beloved posters on the board before his exit.

Sounds more than reasonable to me. Reps, Wooly!

I really hadn't intended for this thread to become a thread about Neutered, haha.

What had you intended it to be about?

She was so his favorite toward the end . . .

I am not considering this option for several reasons. First, there have only been one or two posters that were given another chance after being issued a lifetime ban and only one poster given multiple chances after multiple bans (i.e. Neutered has racked up least 5 bans on multiple accounts); no other poster has been extended this level of lenience and it has been and would be unfair to other banned posters. Second, that he is not welcome on other boards for outbursts similar to the ones we dealt with here does not, unfortunately, inspire my confidence, even if I were to consider extending another opportunity.

I post this publicly because I am sure there are others who have the same question. I would be happy to field any further questions via PM.

EDIT: Sorry to let this derail your welcome back party, Quinn.

Also, here are some pictures of a cross-stitch I'm working on. It's a huge "epic" that had to be split into four separate cross-stitches...

That is pretty phenomenal! How long did that take you to accomplish? I cannot even immagine the time; can you imagine how bloody my finger/thumb would have been?

And how are you going to stitch it all back together now that you have seperated it for pictures?

I like your pick, ND by 10.
