Harbaugh was given a show cause that bans him from coaching in college for 4 years. Seems he may have a habitual problem...

What rumors are you reading?
So there have been rumors of gambling being involved for a while and one of the reliable guys on 11W has been hinting that that's part of a separate investigation by the FBI and perhaps FTC. Now there's talk that it's wire fraud and a guy on a Texas board says that it's about to get waaaaaay worse. I'd ignore that but it does fit with a pretty reliable source on 11W and what he's said RE: the gambling. Here's the rumor posted by Message Board Geniuses. What raises my eyebrows is that we have heard since last fall that Connor Stalions was working with Jay Harbaugh.

Would love to see Michigan get burned but the gambling stuff scares the hell out of me. Some team is going to get busted for players gambling. I just hope it's not us.

The money laundering is interesting because I remember in the initial report it stated Stalions and a player (I think Corum) had a joint LLC together. Which I can’t imagine any good reason for a player and a coach to have a joint entity together.

Ding ding ding, it was Blake Corum, who later came out and said he never signed anything (which was true, his signature was not on the Wyoming paperwork). Now what will come of falsifying that paperwork? Nothing of course, which is why Wyoming was the state Stalions filed in.

If you go back to the early stages of this breaking last year, there were reports of US Integrity involvement in this whole case. I remember it specifically because: (1) I had to look up what US Integrity was at all and (2) it just disappeared from the news so I kept looking for it to pop up again. This is really the first time since last October I've heard it mentioned, but that would be interesting federal involvement is usually hush-hush.

I remain very, very interested in seeing if there is a sports gambling component.

Also, I find it interesting that Minter and Robinson are cooperating - they must want to continue working in college and are trying to avoid lengthy (or permanent) show clause bans.

Another great pull RE: US Integrity! I had forgotten about that name drop. To be clear, not everything that has popped up as rumor has turned out true but that is an interesting tie-in.

With regards to Minter and Robinson, I'm not at all surprised for Denard because his future was almost always going to be in the college ranks. For Minter, he's the DC for Harbaugh in LA! Clearly he couldn't turn state's witness against Michigan so some people are concluding that it was for further recruiting violations that are part of this current NOA.

I'm interested but also worried about the sports gambling part of this whole thing, because as others have pointed out in here it's only a matter of time that a big gambling scandal breaks in CFB (or the NFL for that matter) and then the sport will be so tarnished in many people's eyes that it may never recover. We can whinge about NIL, coaching salaries, and conference realignment ruining the game but an honest to God gambling scandal, if big enough, could destroy CFB and rush the coming changes even quicker than we had feared.

It'd be wonderful if the story was written that UM unified everyone in hatred forever and ever. Amen.

Minter wants to leave the door open to returning to CFB.
He must really enjoy it if that's the case. 41 years old and he's an NFL DC. Not sure I'd look back at this point. If things with the LAC go well enough, he's probably looking at NFL HC interviews.

Couple updates from a reliable guy at 11W: panic is starting to creep in at scUM, they may be much more amenable to a settlement especially if they lose a game or two early on. If they do settle, Moore is expected to be suspended and miss The Game. The funny rumor is that Michigan was attempting to negotiate with the Draft NOA for these charges but demanded immunity from future NOAs, which is just laughable. A lot more is coming fellas.

I can't believe they will do anything but fight tooth and nail to preserve the pretense that their championship is legitimate.

The only good things that come from Michigan are the beaches and Detroit style pizza. Throw the death penalty at them! Hammer time
Meh...the finest beaches in the Great Lakes is like being Queen of the Trailer Park...that's pretty fitting for Michigan, actually.

Oh, and the best pizza in the Midwest is at Salvatori's in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Fuck Michigan.

I tell my 3 year old son we are at the ocean when we make the 3 hr drive up there from Indy. Does that make me king of the trailer park?
